Faith update 💛 and not the best update at that 😞 it’s taken me over a day to muster up posting this!
I had noticed her breathing had gotten worse since her last bandage change.. it did take 3 of them to bandage her and while it was a gorgeous funky leopard print bandage, it was a well fitted as previous times. I could see the splint and it began to protrude at the top.. I feared that the sutures were gone. When I took her yesterday, I explained all of this and they took her away as normal. 45mins later, a surgeon walked in without Faith and I knew my fears were about to be confirmed. One of the sutures had broken and all the others were loose. Unfortunately, this is one of the biggest post op complications to the surgery.
The surgeon advised she’d tightened the remaining sutures and clamped them and bandaged her up again. We have no idea what the outcome will be next week when they take her for X-rays. Her breathing is better than it was before the tightening of the sutures but they can of course, loosen again.
I’m devastated. I cried the full way home and do so every time I look at her. I have no idea what her prognosis will be so for now I wait and worry 🥹 the only other surgery is invasive and I have already told them it is not an option as I simply don’t have the finances to pay for a 3rd surgery and that is the part that is killing me the most. If money wasn’t an issue I’d be signing her up for it right now!
I’ll post an update next week once she’s been X-rayed.. please keep her in your thoughts and prayers 🙏🏼 as I need my little lady to come through this and at least have some quality of life 💛💛💛💛
My little beautiful baby girl 💛💛💛💛
