Here at Priory vets Preseli we have set up a donation box for Cat Rescue West Wales 2021 , who are currently inundated with kittens and their mums.
List of preferred food for the charity is: kitten whiskas, adult whiskas and felix as good as it gets.
Also accepting cat litter and toys.
On the poster are also the Cat rescue west wales bank details if a direct donation or standing order is preferred, every little thing helps.

Wales is heating up this week, which may be enjoyable for some, but for our furry friends it can be extremely challenging and life threatening. Especially for the elderly, the brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds and any other vulnerable animals .

The advice is to keep your pets safe and cool at home unless you need to seek urgent medical attention. We recommend that if they have an appointment booked and you feel it can wait until the weather cools down, please cancel or reschedule it.
Make sure they have access to plenty of fresh water and a cool, shaded place where they can rest and relax.

Please avoid walking your pets during this hot weather.
The pavements are going to be hot and can cause damage to their delicate pads.
The risk of heat stress/ heat stroke is going to be increased over the next few days.

Instead of walks to keep your furry friends stimulated, we advise to use enrichment toys indoors or in shaded areas of your garden.
This can be as simple as freezing a kong or lick e matt with a treat paste or some of their wet food. Helping to keep them cool and relaxed.

Watch out for some ideas we will be sharing over the next few days to help keep your pets entertained during the heat wave.

Urgent appeal to find the owner a black male cat that has been involved an accident this morning.
He was found at the entry of Crymych coming from the direction of Cardigan.
He has some serious injuries and is currently with us receiving emergency treatment at the moment.

Female German shepherd found in Maenclochog today.

She is microchipped but is not registered to a working contact number.

Please contact us on 01239612479 if you would like further details, she will be heading to the dog warden if no owner comes forward promptly.
