This very special girl has been to stay and just gone home so her owners could have a well deserved break. She is nearly 16, so a bit of an elderly girl now but still happy in her own way.

We adapted what we do to maintain her routine. She ate her food and had her treats. She didn’t need a lot of exercise but was happy wandering in the garden.

She slept through the night and a fair bit during the day but still wagged her tail and followed me about the house.

We have had this gorgeous boy to stay for the last two weeks. He’s been a superstar and has been such a good boy. No issues at all.

It’s been boiling hot so we’ve walked him early in the morning and later at night by the river and he’s been great walking on the long line.

His owners were a bit worried about his eating as he can be a bit picky but we kept his routine and actually he ate all his food, so no issues there.

He was a joy to have to stay and thank you for trusting us with your precious boy!!

These two bundles of joy left today after staying with us while their owners went on holiday. They are both very different in their ways, but both lovely little things. One liked being inside, while the other spent most of the time in the garden, laying in the sunshine.

Lots of lovely playtime in the garden and the paddock and some lovely walks locally. One likes to chase a ball while the other likes to play rough.

They’ve both eaten well, with some treats along the way. Both slept through the night and no issues at all. One of them needs to eat out of a special bowl and the other needed medication, so we adapt how we do things to make sure the dogs are happy and contented and I think it’s safe to say these two were happy with us.

This beautiful girl has just had a successful trial night with us. She was full of life, bouncy and a total cuddle monster.

As soon as her owners dropped her off she made herself at home and settled beautifully. No issues at all. We played in the paddock with her favourite football, she ate her dinner and then we chilled on the sofa.

Took her for a lovely long walk this morning and she spent the rest of the day in the garden with me, running about, chasing the pigeons and barking at the neighbours chickens and cats.

She is a credit to her owners who have made her what she is. Thank you for trusting us with your special girl.

So this week we’ve had these gorgeous guys to stay. All very different and all with with there own special ways and needs.

They’ve all had lovely walks and room to settle and they’ve all had access to the paddock and garden while the suns been shining.

This beautiful girl has gone home today. We looked after her for 10 days while her family had a holiday.

Shes a little nervous and a little anxious around men and new places, having been a rescue, but she settled better than I thought she would. We have been having her for a few hours on a Friday for a while to help her acclimatise and I think this did help her.

We kept things calm around her and let her do things at her own pace. We had some lovely walks by the river, and she even allowed me to tickle her tummy. She would take food from me and even gave me her paw for some chicken.

Her face was magical when her owner came to collect her and seemed to smile and was very happy to see her family. Which was lovely to see.

Took this beautiful girl for a walk yesterday and the cows and bull in the field next to our walk chased us and we were pleased there was a fence.

They galloped all the way from the other side of the field and followed us all the way along the edge….intimidating!!!

They stood in the corner just staring at us 🐄🐂🐄🐂🐄🐂🐄🐂🐄🐂🐄🐂
