We’ve had the joy of having this beautiful girl stay while her owners had a much needed holiday. Walks by the river and locally and a couple of enclosed paddock as she just loves being off the lead and hoofing around.

She started having a phantom pregnancy before she arrived so we dealt with this with a calm and measured approach.

She was a bit off her food at times, so we tried other things after speaking to the owner and she started to eat again, which was great to see.

She slept beautifully and loved a cuddle on the sofa. It was a pleasure to have her to stay.

It’s all go, go, go here at Dale Lodge. This handsome boy came to stay for a trial couple of days and it was a great success.

He cried a little bit when his owners left him, but we took him into the garden and paddock so he could have a run about, and he soon settled really well.

He’s a foodie, so we had to be careful about leaving things on the side….I literally needed eyes in the back of my head!!!

He slept beautifully, and settled really well, giving great cuddles. What more could you want?

So this bundle of joy left today after a week with us. She has been chasing hedgehogs, pinching apples, she wandered off with slippers and flip flops and had a lovely time.

She’s been getting a walk very early and later when it’s cool and has been chilling with us in the house where it’s cool, thanks to the air con.

Eating all her food and sleeping beautifully through the night. No issues.

So this monkey has stayed for a couple of days and what a joy he’s been. He’s naughty and mischievous, stealing slippers, wood, cushions and anything else that isn’t nailed down….but he’s loving and chilled and settled very easily.

Walked beautifully on the lead and slept all night until about 7.45.

Thank you for trusting us with him. I hope we didn’t break him?

Been a busy July. Had a few visitors and even managed a few days by the coast chilling and it was just what we needed. Ice cream from Mr Moos, which was delicious.

Walks on the beach, by the river and locally. Enjoyed having these dogs to stay.

The next few months are busy, busy, busy…..

So this beautiful boy came for a trial yesterday and as it was hot we decided to get the pool and hose pipe out. He seemed to like it!

We haven’t taken the dogs out in this heat as it’s really not fair on them, in fact it’s cruel and totally unnecessary. I went outside the other day without my shoes on and the patio burnt my feet, so imagine that on a dogs paws walking along the street?!

We had a couple of other dogs earlier in the week who were happy to chill in the house with us where it’s cool and that’s the way it should be.

These gorgeous boys have just gone home. They were really good. No issues at all. They slept through the night, were goo...

These gorgeous boys have just gone home. They were really good. No issues at all.

They slept through the night, were good on their walks and enjoyed time in the garden and paddock.

They both loved a cuddle and chilled with us on the sofa.

When their owner came this morning the little one was chilling in his preferred position on my knee laying on a cushion.

These two pocket rockets went home today after spending the week with us.

They slept beautifully together and ate all there food. We fed them separately as the smaller dog eats the other ones food.

They would play fight together but were happy and contented to cuddle up together. Both very funny and very different. The smaller one was wary of new people coming into the house, where as the bigger one loved everyone, but we were able to deal with anything, even their snoring!!!

The small one had fun biting my broom and when he did something the other one just had to join in….lol xx

They walked well on the lead apart from us getting in a tangle when they decided to swap sides about a 100 times……
