What we need from you
Someone confident with general consulting and surgery, including occasional periods of sole charge during evening surgeries. Confidence and ability to work up cases, including emergencies such as blocked bladders, RTA’s, heat strokes, GDV’s etc. Perform diagnostic ultrasound and radiography, perform euthanasia’s compassionately, work alongside paraprofessionals such as our in house ACPAT registered physiotherapists and contribute to our OOH rota at our hospital site, currently set at a 1 in 24 rota.
What we can offer you
A genuinely good work/life balance in a proudly independent practice. Contracted hours are 37.5 although we rarely rota more than 32.5. Unlimited CPD budget with certificates actively encouraged. In house radiography, ultrasound, dental x ray, dentanomics dental equipment, idexx lab stations etc etc. An extremely experienced nursing and reception team alongside a vet team consisting of certificate holders/further qualifications in cardiology, dentistry, acupuncture, behaviour, chronic pain management, veterinary education and dermatology.
Genuine progression for the right person, we are looking for a senior vet with experience to join the team. Included in your package would be private healthcare, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, RCVS and BVA/BSAVA subscriptions paid, 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and birthday, generous TOIL after OOH shifts, £1000 allowance for treatment of own pets, bereavement leave for loss of a pet.
We are part of the Westover Group, made up of our sister practice and hospital Westover Vets, North Walsham and Caister Vets, Rollesby. Between the practices there are 26 vets with certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, surgery, medicine, feline medicine to name just a few.
