We have had a female black DLH cat handed into us this afternoon. Not microchipped and no collar. Unfortunately deceased. Estimated age under 6 months of age.

Found: Roughton Road.

🐾 FOUND CAT🐾

Ginger and white, entire male, DSH.

From St. Margaret's Close area of Suffield Park, Cromer.

Unfortunately no collar or microchip present.

Currently under observation at the practice for some minor injuries.

Please get in touch with the practice on 01263 808999 if you think he is your cat.
Proof of ownership will be required.

Poor Sausage came to see us with a swollen paw and leg, so our Vet Harriet, took X-rays to investigate what was going on. Thankfully, it turned out to be a cat bite abscess, and after starting the right treatment, he was already feeling so much brighter the very next day! 💙

His lovely owners let us know how much better he was doing and thanked the team for all of our help and support. Messages like these really do make our day🥹

Get well soon, gorgeous Sausage! We hope you’re back to your mischievous adventures in no time. 🐱✨

We have an opportunity for another
Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team here at Cromer Vets🩺

Cromer Vets is a passionate and proudly independent practice on the North Norfolk coast, providing excellent veterinary care and positively contributing to the local community.🐾

We have a closely bonded team that consist of 4 FTE vets, 4 RVNs, 1 ANA and 4 receptionists. Actively encouraging and supporting personal development, we offer a huge range of benefits including private healthcare, fully funded certificates, excellent staff discount scheme and much more✨

The position available is full time, 37.5 hours per week, working 4.5 days, with a range of shifts between 8am and 6:30pm. Part time hours would also be considered.💕

We are proud to cover our own out of hours at our hospital site, Westover Vets in North Walsham, where there are currently 32 nurses contributing to the rota🐾

We are lucky enough to welcome the lovely Clare, to our nursing team here at Cromer Vets🐾

Clare Qualified as a nurse in 1997 and has worked in different practices throughout the UK, covering all aspects of veterinary care including zoo animals, exotic pets and emergency care.

At home she has a cat called Billy and a tank of tropical fish and mini shrimps to look after 🐱🐠

In her spare time, she likes reading, going for walks on the beach and is now learning Spanish🇪🇸

We look forward to you all meeting her 💚

Walter’s holiday came with an unexpected souvenir… 🌾🐶

This gorgeous little sausage dog picked up a pesky grass seed while away on his adventures.

Luckily, our Vet Lizzie was able to safely remove it, and Walter was soon feeling much more comfortable (and ready to get back to enjoying his holiday! 💚)

Grass seeds may be tiny, but they can cause big problems if they become lodged in your pet’s ears, paws, nose or skin. If your pet starts sneezing, licking, limping or seems uncomfortable after being outdoors, it’s always worth getting them checked.

🥳🐰 Rabbit Awareness Week🐰🥳

Flystrike affects both indoor and outdoor rabbits🐰

🐇 Flystrike is a life-threatening condition caused by flies laying eggs on rabbits. These eggs hatch into maggots who feed on the rabbit’s flesh

🐇 Check your rabbit all over, twice a day, during the warmer months for signs of fly eggs or maggots – focus on checking their backend, above their tail and around their face

🐇 Symptoms include quiet or withdrawn behaviour, reduction or absence of appetite, unpleasant smell, wet or patchy hair loss or open wounds, visible maggots in coat, collapse

🐇 Prevent Flystrike by doing regular health and fur checks and treating health issues early. You can also treat your rabbit with an appropriate protective product from Spring – Autumn and hang fly strips around rabbit housing

🐇 If you think your rabbit has flystrike you should contact a vet immediately⚠️
