October has arrived, and we've got a few exciting events coming up this month for riders of all ages and abilities 🍂🏇🐴

The Riding Centre is filling up fast, here's a wee sneak peak of what's coming up this month:

🗓 Wednesday 14 October - Own a pony morning
9am - 1pm | £55
Includes a riding session and horse care lessons. Minimum age 10 with basic horse care/riding required.

🗓 Wednesday 14 & Friday 16 October - Show jumping clinics
From £40 per person.

🗓 Thursday 15 October - Own a pony for a full day
8:30am - 4:00pm | £100 per person
Includes two riding lessons and volunteer training. Minimum age 10 with experienced riders only.

🗓 Thursday 22 October - Own a pony for half a day
9am - 1pm | £55
Minimum age 10 with basic horse care/riding experience required.

🗓 Thursday 29 October - Mounted games practice sessions
3.30pm onwards

🎃 Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November - Halloween hacks
All abilities available, throughout the day.

🏆 Sunday 1 November - Halloween mounted games competition
2pm onwards | prize for the best fancy dress! 👻

It was fantastic to have Pam Millar, a British Dressage Registered trainer, to the riding school for our liveries and regular riders, taking a very special dressage lesson 🏇🐴

Described as 'Formation riding is an equestrian sport where a team of riders execute specific movements to music'. We'd say they've done a brilliant job here!

We hope everyone had a lovely lesson 😄

After school riding sessions are back! 🐎

Our after school lessons start w/c 7th September. Ahead of them beginning, we're running 'Give it a Go' sessions for anyone on the wait list or thinking about starting.

Job available: Ride Leader and Coach

𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙚

We’re looking for a Ride Leader and Coach to join our Riding centre team at Crieff Hydro. Using your own initiative is essential and on our busy yard you’ll be able to build relationships with our customers and team.

We pride ourselves in being an approved centre. We look after 45 horses and with our 900-acre estate we have the perfect setting for endless hours of hacking, while our outdoor arena is ideal for schooling and teaching.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙮𝙤𝙪:

You'll be an experienced Ride leader with a teaching/coaching qualification. If you hold a UKCC coaching certificate or BHS certificate that would really make us excited to hear from you.

You’ll support the manager by taking responsibility for the business when she’s not there. We have a range of school horses, private liveries and youngsters each with their own unique personalities and abilities, so you’ll have experience in schooling all types of horses to get the best out of them.

We’re looking for a degree of flexibility to meet business and customer needs. We’ll also need to carry out a full PVG Disclosure Check.

Our after school lessons are back up and running! The perfect end to a busy day at school.

You are able to book a 6 week block initially, which includes 5 riding lessons and 1 stable management lesson. This block will be £120 for 8+ ages only.
We welcome all abilities, and timings depend on abilities.

We're excited to welcome Annette Dick from ALD Equine Solutions for a fascinating demonstration of Equine touch - a gentle, non-invasive bodywork system designed to support the whole horse.

Through a series of unique, vibration moves over soft tissue, Equine Touch helps unlock balance, relaxation and well being.

It's easy to learn, doesn't require years of study, and opens the door to a deeper understanding of how we can help our horses.
