🐾 Sorry I’ve been a little quiet on here lately! 🐾

The reason is simple… I’ve been so busy cat sitting that I genuinely haven’t stopped! 🥰

I’m incredibly grateful for all of the support my little business has received, and I’ve been loving every second of spending my days with so many wonderful cats. 💛

I’ve also had lots of meet & greets recently, and it’s been lovely meeting so many fellow cat lovers and getting to know their gorgeous cats before upcoming bookings.

One of the cats I’ve been visiting again is little Piggy 🐷💕. She’s still just as adorable, tiny and playful as ever. She loves watching the world (and the rain!) from the window before enjoying a play and a treat.

Today I’ve also started caring for four lovely new cats for the first time — Horris, Merope, Lyra and Cheddar 🐱✨. I’m looking forward to getting to know them all and sharing some photos and updates over the next few days.

Thank you again to everyone who continues to support, recommend and trust Crick Cats & Cuddles with their precious pets. It really does mean the world to me. 🐾💛

And for anyone planning a holiday later this year, I am now fully booked until 19th August, with limited availability after that. 😊

🐾 Busy morning on the cat-sitting rounds today! 🐾

I had an early start with 5 different client houses to visit and 8 lovely cats to look after this morning.

First up was Benji, who was waiting for me at the door as usual. Then it was breakfast time with Yodi, Poppy, and Lily, who were all gathered around my feet ready for their food.

Next, I visited lovely Izzy, who was enjoying her usual drink straight from the tap! 🚰🐱

Then it was on to Bonnie and Klaude, who were very eager for their breakfast — although to be fair, that’s usually all they’re interested in on my morning visits😂

And finally, there was sweet Mouse, who was still upstairs fast asleep when I arrived this morning. 😴🐾

A busy but wonderful day spent with lots of happy cats. ❤️

🐾 Cat Tip: Have You Considered a Raised Food Bowl? 🐱🍽️

Many cat owners are now switching to raised bowls, and there are some great benefits!

A raised bowl allows your cat to eat and drink in a more natural, comfortable position without having to bend down as far. This can help to:

🐾 Reduce strain on the neck and joints
🐾 Make mealtimes more comfortable, especially for older cats
🐾 Help some cats swallow food more easily
🐾 Reduce mess around the bowl area
🐾 Encourage a more relaxed eating posture

Raised bowls can be particularly helpful for senior cats, larger cats, or those with arthritis, but plenty of younger cats enjoy them too!

Of course, every cat is different, and many are perfectly happy eating from bowls on the floor. The most important thing is that your cat is comfortable and enjoying their meals. ❤️

As with any change, if you’re thinking of switching bowls, introduce it gradually and see what your cat thinks!

Does your cat use a raised bowl, or are they happy with a traditional one? I’d love to hear your experiences below! ⬇️🐾

📸 Bonus points if you share a photo of your cat enjoying their dinner! 😻🍽️

🥹 One Week of Bolt 🖤

We’ve only had Bolt for a week, but honestly, it feels like he’s been part of our family forever already.

After a long and busy day of cat sitting, I jumped in the shower this evening and came out to find him waiting patiently outside for me. 🥹

It’s amazing how quickly these little cats find their way into your heart. We absolutely adore him and can’t imagine our home without him now. 🖤🐾

Has anyone else’s cat become their little shadow? 💕

🐾 Another Busy Day of Cat Sitting! 🐾

Today started with a visit to a lovely new cat called Mouse. 🩵 His owners are getting married this weekend, which is so exciting! Wishing them all the happiness in the world for their special day. Mouse is absolutely gorgeous, with the most amazing blue eyes, and he very much enjoyed a tummy rub during my visit.

Next, I visited Bonnie and Klaude. It’s always lovely to look after this adorable duo again. They’re both still as food obsessed as ever! Bonnie enjoyed a good play session, while Klaude was much more interested in plenty of chin scratches and fuss. 😸

After that, it was time to see Yodi, Lily and Poppy, who I’ve been caring for since Wednesday. Poppy is always off on adventures, Yodi loves relaxing outside enjoying the fresh air, and Lily likes to stay right by my feet waiting for her dinner. She’s always so excited for food, even though she never seems to eat very much when it’s put down! Bless her. 💛

My final visit of the day was with handsome Benji. He had lots of fun playing in his tunnel before settling down for some fuss and company while relaxing by my feet. 🧡

🐾 A Little Note About My Visits 🐾

One question I get asked quite often is how long I stay during cat sitting visits.

The answer is that every visit is tailored to the individual cat and their needs. 🐱💛

Some cats love lots of fuss, playtime and company and are happy for me to stay longer, while others prefer a quick hello, fresh food, clean litter trays and then their own space.

For this reason, I don’t offer fixed timed visits. Instead, I stay as long as needed to complete all care tasks, carry out welfare checks and spend appropriate time with your cat based on their personality and comfort level.

Most visits are typically between 10–30 minutes, depending on your cat’s needs on the day.

My priority is always providing the best care for your cat rather than watching the clock. 🐾

After all, every cat is different — and that’s one of the things I love most about this job. 💕
