We're super excited to announce that we have the lovely Danisha joining our team of vets!

Here's a little bit about Danisha;

Danisha has lived in Somerset her whole life, except to go to university in Surrey, where she graduated in 2026.

She is excited to get involved with soft tissue surgery and medicine, particularly the process of working through complex cases and supporting patients and their owners with ongoing management. She also has a passion for wildlife and is keen to develop her experience in wildlife medicine alongside her small animal work.

Outside of work, Danisha spends her evenings playing badminton and going climbing, or training up guide dog puppies- although she is on the lookout for a dog of her own!

Be sure to welcome Danisha to the Hamstone Team 🥰

🐾 It’s Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day! 🐾

Well, where do we start?! One day really isn’t enough to celebrate and appreciate just how amazing our reception team is! ❤️

Our receptionists are fundamental to the smooth running of the practice. They are often the first friendly face you see, the voice at the end of the phone, and the people keeping everything moving behind the scenes. Without them, we simply wouldn’t be able to function!

Each and every one of our receptionists brings something special to the team, and we genuinely wouldn’t be Hamstone without them.

So, a huge THANK YOU to our incredible reception team for everything you do, every single day. We appreciate you more than you know! 🥰🐾

Well, that’s the first of our new consult rooms complete! 🥳🐾

Just a few finishing touches to go… including the all-important electrical sockets! 🔌

A huge thank you to all our clients this week for putting up with the noise and disruption while we get everything ready. We really appreciate your patience!

Safe to say, we’re absolutely delighted with the end result and can’t wait to start using it. 🥰

Now the big question… who will be the first doggy to step through the door on Monday?!

🐾 A gentle reminder to our clients 🐾
We’ve recently noticed an increase in clients arriving late for appointments or, on occasion, not attending their scheduled appointment.
We completely understand that things can happen, and sometimes plans change. However, we kindly ask that if you’re going to be late or can no longer make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. 📞
This allows us to make the best use of our appointment spaces and, where possible, offer the slot to another patient who may need it.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our team. ❤️🐾

Update- the owner has now been found and they’ve been reunited. Thankyou everyone for sharing.

‼️‼️We’ve had a neutered male, medium sized cross breed dog handed into the practice. He was found between the Bridport football ground and Westbay.

If you think he could be yours, please contact the surgery on 01460297444.

💍✨ A very special celebration!✨💍

Last weekend, our co-founder Ellie and her partner Gareth tied the knot! 🥂❤️

The Hamstone Vets team had such a lovely day celebrating with them, and it was wonderful to see Ellie enjoying some well-deserved time away from the practice! 🥰

We wish Ellie and Gareth all the happiness in the world as they start this exciting new chapter together. 💕🥂

Congratulations to you both! 🥳

Lots of love,
Emily & the Hamstone Vets Team ❤️🐾
