When you love what you do no day feels like work, however physically or mentally demanding. A blissful day with new life, kissing calves, getting covered in muck and you can't forget the one and only Jack the collie.

After the recent BBC Panorama programme on the dairy industry, I just hope that people understand that that does not depict the dairy industry as a whole! The 1% ruining it for the other 99% who do things how they should be done. Please show your support for our dairy farmers who work so hard and uphold the strictest of welfare standards so you can enjoy your morning milky coffee or that hearty bit of cheese on toast 😋.

After a discussion with a client about the fact I had not eaten anything all day (I know, I'm a fool), I came back from riding her rather stunning mare to find this box of munchy bars (other snack bars are available 😆)! An absolute life saver as I had to shoot off milking straight away so no time to get anything. Thank you Jo, your little act of kindness made my day! 😊

Wishing you all a very Happy New year.

The last year of my life has taken a complety different turn and a brand new focus. I'm looking forward to getting on and achieving the goals I have set myself, some of which will be extremely arduous, but if you don't challenge yourself you will not grow. So watch this space.

Hope you all go ahead into the new year believing in yourselves and realising that the sky is the limit. With hard work, a can do attitude and holding yourselves high you can achieve almost anything.
