Not every dog is good at having their nails trimmed. Past experiences can mentally make any future appointments quite scary.
Master here is extremely nervous having his claws clipped. So trimming his dew claws today was a huge success with lots of reward and praise.
Making the experience positive doesn’t mean that the next one will be easy, it’s slowly building trust to rewrite what his brain processes as a scary experience
