Going to do my best to keep this page updated again as I head into my 4th (!!) year in Australia with a some super exciting horses & opportunities.

Whilst my main job is polo grooming & whipping in for the hunt, I’m very lucky to have a little team of jumpers and eventers developing in the background. They have been enjoying a nice summer break while priority was on Ellerston Polo & then the young polo ponies, but it was great to get a few out jumping yesterday for their first outing this year.

First up was 5yo polo pony, Grantham. He’s been with us since a 3yo and has been showing a lot promise to make it as a hunter too. He is an incredibly natural jumper & despite only having jumped rustic fences and hunt jumps at home, loved his first time seeing coloured sticks. Two very confident clear rounds in the 50/60 and 60/70 for him.

Then we moved onto 5yo Clydie X, Paddington. She started her jumping career last year with a couple of shows and was very happy to be back out again for two very confident clear rounds in the 60/70 and 70/80.

Finally we had Mayfair out for her first outing since Ellerston 1* last year. Another confident clear in the 80/90 and just a pole in the 90/100 to get her prepped for the 95 event at Quirindi next weekend.

A big thank you to Hunter Valley Showjumping club for a great training day, Diane Smith for the photos, and Scott and Anna McCreery for the never ending support and the chance to get these horses out jumping !

British 3* event rider now available for coaching and riding in Scone and surrounding areas.

Evented to 3* equivalent in Britain, Show jumped to 120 and dressage up to medium level. Also experienced on the hunting field, with polo, racing, team chasing, worked on breaking and pre training yards and vastly experienced with young horses.

As well as this, I hold a first class honours in Equine Science and Sports Performance, and have my BHS stage 2 (teach included) . I’ve been through the pony and junior programs in British Eventing, as well as being on the BEF academy programme. I’ve been privileged to work with some of the best coaches and riders in Britain and I am now keen to share that experience over here.

All ages and abilities welcome for coaching, kids and adults.

Time to get this page going again as I get set up down under!
Very lucky to have the best job working with a huge variety of horses, but with the polo and hunting seasons both having finished now, it’s time for me to do a bit on my own. I’m now available for coaching & riding in the area (Scone/Aberdeen & surrounding areas) - more on a post to follow.

I’ve been privileged to have the ride on Mayfair & Chummy over the past 18 months who have both now stepped up to 95 eventing and 110 jumping successfully and given me such a good experience of the Australian competition and eventing scene. A big thank you to Anna and Fiona for the ride on these super mares and everyone that’s been so supportive over here.
Alongside these guys, my main role has been keeping the hunters and polo ponies fit and schooled. Polo is a whole new world but I’ve absolutely loved it and it’s been great fun to apply the basics of schooling to the polo ponies to improve their performance on the field.
We’ve had a few young horses coming through, both for polo and hunting and they have been super rewarding to work with alongside the main strings.

Anyway here is a few photos of our experience so far, looking forward to seeing where we end up.
If anyone I’ve worked/ridden for back home is able to leave me a little review or recommendation to help me get going over here it would be massively appreciated!
