🖤🤍 175 DAYS IN RESCUE… AND STILL NOBODY HAS CHOSEN OREO 💔😢

175 days.

Almost six months.

That’s how long our beautiful Oreo has been waiting for someone to fall in love with her. 🥺

In that time, she’s raised her babies, watched her kittens come and go, and seen so many other cats head off to start their new lives.

But nobody has come for Oreo. 💔

And we really can’t understand why.

Just look at her! Those gorgeous eyes, that beautiful little face… and a personality to match. ❤️

At only around 18 months old, Oreo really is the loveliest little girl.

🐾 Playful, with a fun little side when the mood takes her.

🤍 Quiet and gentle, happy just to enjoy the comforts of home.

🥰 Cuddly, with plenty of love to give to someone special.

She’s not asking for the world.

Just a warm bed, a safe home with access to the outdoors, a few toys and someone who will love her as much as she deserves.

She’s spent months being a mummy. Now it’s time for someone to make HER their baby. 🥹❤️

We know black and white cats can sometimes get overlooked, but please don’t let Oreo become another one of those cats who spends month after month waiting simply because she isn’t a tiny kitten anymore.

175 days is long enough. 💔

We would absolutely LOVE to see Oreo settled into her very own home before Christmas, curled up on someone’s sofa, finally knowing she belongs.

🏡 Could you make that happen?

📍 Crewe & surrounding areas

📩 Please message Crewe & District Cat Rescue if you could offer Oreo her forever home.

🙏 PLEASE, PLEASE SHARE OREO. You might not be able to adopt her, but someone on your friends list might be exactly who she’s been waiting for.

🧡 Let’s make sure Oreo’s next big milestone is a GOTCHA DAY, not 200 days in rescue. 🖤🤍

🧡 MANGO & HER LITTLE FAMILY 🐾🐈

It’s been a funny old week here at the rescue, with plenty of emotions, some happy moments and some very sad ones. 💔

Losing little Clem has been heartbreaking, especially after everyone worked so hard to give him the best possible chance. 😢 He may only have been with us for a short time, but he certainly left his tiny paw prints on our hearts. 🧡🌈

We know so many of you have been following Mango’s journey, from the never-ending Mango Watch 😂 to the arrival of her beautiful babies, and we know you’ll be wondering how the rest of her little family is doing.

Well, we’re pleased to share some happier news! 🥰

🐾 Mango’s four remaining kittens are thriving! They’re gaining weight, feeding well and doing what newborn kittens do best… eating, sleeping and looking ridiculously adorable! 🥹🧡🖤

And Mango? Well, she’s being her usual amazing self! ❤️ Taking motherhood in her stride, enjoying some well-deserved downtime and even finding a little time for herself between feeds. What a superstar she is! 🌟

We know how invested you’ve all become in this little family, so don’t worry, there will be plenty more Mango and kitten updates to come! 📸🐾

But while Mango and her babies are keeping us all entertained, we mustn’t forget the other very special cats and kittens already in our care. 🏡❤️

They might not be tiny newborns, but their stories matter just as much. 🥹

Some have been waiting patiently for quite some time, watching others leave for their happy endings while they continue to wait for theirs. 💔

Over the coming days, we’ll be introducing you to some of these lovely little characters, sharing their stories and hopefully finding them the forever homes they so desperately deserve. 🏡

So please, keep following, liking, commenting and, most importantly, SHARING our posts. 🙏

You never know… that one little share could be the reason one of our rescue cats finally gets their happy ending. 🧡

Thank you, as always, for being part of our little rescue family. We really couldn’t do this without you.

🧡🌈 SLEEP TIGHT, LITTLE CLEM 🌈🧡

It’s with very heavy hearts that we bring you the news we were all desperately hoping we wouldn’t have to share. 💔

Our beautiful little fighter, Clem, sadly passed away overnight. 😢

Despite everything our wonderful fosterers and veterinary team did for him, and despite showing some signs of improvement, his tiny body just wasn’t strong enough.

He was only with us for such a short time, but he was loved, cared for and fought for every step of the way. 🧡

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who kept Clem in their thoughts, crossed their fingers, sent messages of support and wished our little boy well. We really did hope we would be sharing a happier ending. 💔

This is the heartbreaking reality of rescue.

For every happy adoption story, every kitten finding their forever home and every life we save, there are little ones like Clem who, despite our very best efforts, simply don’t make it.

And whilst we know that not every outcome can be prevented, we cannot stress enough the importance of

NEUTERING YOUR CATS !!!

Unneutered cats lead to unwanted pregnancies, kittens born in difficult circumstances, overstretched rescues and, sadly, sometimes heartbreaking losses.

Clem’s little life mattered. He wasn’t just another kitten, another rescue case or another veterinary bill. He was a tiny life who deserved the chance to grow up, play, be loved and find his forever home.

Sadly, that wasn’t to be. 😢

Please, please neuter your pets. Help us prevent unnecessary suffering and give every kitten the best possible chance at life.

🌈 Sleep tight, precious Clem. 🧡

You were loved for every moment of your short life, and you won’t be forgotten.

Forever one of Mango’s babies 🐾🪽

🐈🧡 MANGO & HER MINI MANGOS – AND A VERY SPECIAL CLEM UPDATE! 🧡🐈

Our beautiful girl is now the very proud mummy of 5 gorgeous little kittens – 3 gingers and 2 black beauties! 🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤

Mango is doing brilliantly, taking motherhood in her stride, and her little family are settling in beautifully. 🥰

🧡 BUT THE UPDATE YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR… LITTLE CLEM! 🧡

After giving us all such a fright yesterday and needing an emergency trip to the vets, we’re delighted to share that our tiny fighter has improved enough to come home to his mummy and siblings! 🥹❤️

He’s doing better, but he’s not quite out of the woods just yet.

Our little Clem still hasn’t quite mastered the art of feeding from Mum, so our wonderful fosterers have stepped in with additional feeds to give him the help he needs. 🍼🧡

He’s tiny, he’s vulnerable, but he’s fighting, and we’re doing everything we can to give him the very best chance.

We’re desperately hoping that, with a little more time, patience and encouragement, he’ll soon get the hang of feeding from his mummy all by himself. 🤞🐾

For now, we’re celebrating the little victories. Yesterday we were worried we might lose him… today he’s back where he belongs, snuggled up with his family. And that means everything. 🧡

A huge thank you to everyone who has sent lovely messages, kept their fingers crossed and donated towards Clem’s emergency veterinary care. Your kindness really does mean the world to our little rescue. 🧡

Please keep those positive thoughts coming for our precious boy. He’s still got a way to go, but we’re feeling hopeful. 🧡

Come on, Clem! You’ve got a whole army of people rooting for you! 🥹🐾

We really do have the best supporters… let’s fill the comments with orange hearts for our little fighter! 🧡🧡🧡

🧡🐾 MANGO WATCH – THE BITTERSWEET UPDATE WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! 🐾🧡

Well… after keeping us all waiting for what feels like FOREVER, Mango decided that TODAY WAS THE DAY!! 🥹🎉

And when she finally got started, there was no stopping her!

In what felt like record time, our beautiful Mango gave birth to FIVE precious little kittens! 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱

But sadly, amongst all the excitement, today has also been a worrying and emotional one. 💔

Our first little arrival wasn’t doing so well. He was already very cold by the time our fosterers got to him, and despite their best efforts to warm him up and give him every chance, it was clear that this tiny boy was struggling. 🥺

So, instead of celebrating five healthy arrivals, we found ourselves making an emergency dash to the vets with our tiniest little fighter.

We’ve named him Clem. 🧡

He’s had a difficult start to life, and right now we’re just hoping with everything we’ve got that he finds the strength to pull through. ❤️‍🩹

Meanwhile, we’re pleased to say that Mango and her other four beautiful babies are doing brilliantly! 🥰 She’s finally a mummy, and after all those weeks of keeping us guessing, we’re so proud of her.

We know so many of you have followed Mango’s journey, laughed at our endless updates and waited patiently alongside us for these little arrivals.

So tonight, we’re asking you all for one little favour…

🧡 COULD YOU HELP LITTLE CLEM?

As you can imagine, an unexpected emergency trip to the vets comes with an unexpected bill, but when a tiny life is at stake, there’s never any question about getting them the help they need. ❤️

We’re a small, volunteer-run charity, and every penny really does make a difference.

If you’ve enjoyed following Mango’s journey and would like to help us give her little boy the best possible chance, we’d be incredibly grateful for any donation towards Clem’s emergency veterinary care. 🥹

Whether it’s £1, £2 or £5, every little bit helps, and it all adds up. 🧡

🐾 Please use the reference CLEM if donating directly to our rescue bank account, so we can keep track of donations towards his care.

And if you’re unable to donate, please don’t worry. A share, a kind word or simply keeping everything crossed for our little fighter means the world to us.

Come on, little Clem. You’ve got this! 🧡
