We didn’t set out to make dog sofas… then Poppy came along. 🐾❤️
We’re M R Dawson Upholstery, and with 45 years of upholstery experience, we’ve spent many years creating and restoring furniture for the home.
But our dog sofa story began with our own ageing dog, Poppy.
As she got older, we wanted to create somewhere comfortable for her to relax that was also safe and easy for her to access — but we still wanted it to look like a beautiful piece of furniture in our home.
That’s where the idea for our handcrafted dog sofas began.
We set out to combine our experience in upholstery with our love of dogs, creating dog sofas that are comfortable, practical and designed to look at home in your home.
Today, our handcrafted dog sofas are made to order in our Cheshire workshop, with a choice of styles, sizes, fabrics, colours and finishes.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more of our sofas, the craftsmanship behind them, the fabrics we use and, of course, plenty of dogs enjoying their favourite spot! 🐶
If you're new here, **welcome to M R Dawson Dog Sofas** — we're so pleased to have you with us.
And we'd love to know… **does your dog have a favourite place to sleep or relax at home?** 🐾
