The Fish Barn is a new venture ( Started Dec 2013 ) and supplies quality general Tropical fish including High quality sourced African Cichlids ( Malawi, Tanagnyikan and Victorian) and all mostly all wild caught South American species at very good prices! We now stock a very good range of dry goods available from fish foods through to fish tanks and accessories. We are able to take requests for fis

h and we'll try our best to bring you the fish that you want! We will NOT stock species of fish that grow too large for aquariums, for example Red Tail Catfish. We have a delivery service available to customers nationwide (UK) however we urge that customers come and view our stock to see and select the fish of your choice.

Good morning

We have received our live food but APC have yet again mislaid one of the boxes. It is the one containing all the brineshrimp and daphnia. This box contains a lot of the pre orders for you guys.
It is apparently left in Birmingham so I am trying to get it delivered for tomorrow.
We will let you know once it has arrived and the pre orders can be collected.

Zebra Pike Cichlids, (Now) Lacustria zebrina are in stock at a sensible size of 10-12cm. These aren’t cheap but are cheaper than fully grown adults so be sure to nab these before they’re gone. Suited to specialist South American tanks. 6 available at the time of this post.

There were other gems that came in today so you’ll just have to come in and see them!

It is a hindrance but we’re still getting by. It would seem that works on the junction box could take up until September the 4th but hopefully sooner.

Please note that the phone line also isn’t working so we are not ignoring you, please message on social media or email and we’ll reply asap when we get signal.

So just so you don’t miss anything, this weeks plans are:

Tuesday: Move quarantined Fish to top up after a busy weekend 🐠🐠

UPDATE Sunday 30/08/26

They have cleared the damage away but will not be up and running possibly until the 4/08/26.
We will keep you updated at all times.
In the meantime, we are still open albeit will be a little slower to process payments etc but are still able to run the shop.
No phone line and no internet.

Hi guys! Bit of a stressful one today! Sadly there was an accident down the road which damaged the Internet box which we are connected to.

Unfortunately this means that we have been unable to access:

🐠 Answer the phone

It is inconvenient but can’t be helped so please bare with us as tonight I will be replying to messages etc and getting things sorted. We are of the understanding that repairs are being carried out and hopefully it’ll be back to usual as of tomorrow. If so, I’ll most likely delete this post as it becomes irrelevant.

As I’m on my own tomorrow, if you’re local please be sure to pop in, if not please know that I’m not ignoring you and will have to reply when I’m back home.

I have been in touch with APC this morning and have been advised our delivery has been assigned to a van and will be delivered at some time today.

Here we go again.

This seems to be getting a regular occurrence.
At this moment in time we have no live food arriving today, and possibly not tomorrow either.
APC have told.me they have no idea where it is.
I can't tell you how unhappy I am with this company, it seems to happen a lot now and does actually affect us as a business.
If it does arrive tomorrow then I will be in touch.
