❤️ RUBY’S FUNDRAISER HAS REACHED £810! ❤️
I honestly can’t thank everyone enough. 🥹🐾
When I set this fundraiser up, I really hoped we could raise £1,000 to help Ruby’s family towards the huge vet bill they’ve been left with, on top of the heartbreak of losing their beautiful girl at just 5 years old. 💔🌈
We’ve now raised an incredible £810, which means we’re just £190 away from our £1,000 target! 🙏❤️
Every single donation, share and kind message has meant so much. A huge thank you to all the dog walkers, my clients and my followers who have kindly donated. I know times are hard and people work bloody hard for their money, so the fact that so many of you have chosen to help this lovely family genuinely means the world.
If we could somehow find that final £190 and get Ruby’s fundraiser to £1,000, I would be absolutely over the moon. Even a few pounds makes a difference, and if you can’t donate, simply sharing the fundraiser helps enormously.

Well… today is going to be FUN 😩🌧️💨
Heavy rain alllllllllllll day, a yellow weather warning for wind, gusts up to 45mph… and I’ve got FOUR forest walks! 🫣🐾🌲
I’m definitely not looking forward to battling the elements today 😂 I think by walk number four I may actually have turned into a drowned rat! 🐀🌧️
If anyone would rather cancel today and keep their doggies tucked up at home in the warm and dry, please just let me know, I honestly won’t be offended! 😂❤️🐶

❤️ CAN WE GET THIS TO £1,000 FOR RUBY'S FAMILY? ❤️
I know times are hard and everyone works bloody hard for their money, so I genuinely don't like asking people to part with it. But I'm going to swallow my pride and ask one more time for this lovely family. 🙏
Since sharing Ruby's story, 19 amazing people have donated £310. ❤️ Honestly, thank you SO much to every single person who has donated or shared, it means more than you know.
I'd absolutely love to get this fundraiser to £1,000 to take some of the financial pressure off Ruby's family.
They've just lost their beautiful girl at only 5 years old. 💔 They did everything they possibly could to save her, emergency surgery, scans, tests, a biopsy and more and although they're insured, the insurance doesn't come close to covering everything.
They shouldn't have to be worrying about how they're going to pay a huge vet bill while they're grieving for Ruby.
So here's my little challenge...
🐾 If 138 people donated just £5, we'd reach £1,000. 🐾
I know £5 might not sound like much, but when lots of us do it together, it becomes something huge. ❤️
Please don't feel bad if you genuinely can't afford to donate, a share costs absolutely nothing and could put this in front of somebody who can.

Ruby passed away today, and I honestly can’t believe that the big, strong Ruby we all knew and loved is no longer with us. 💔
My heart absolutely breaks for her family, who are beyond devastated. They had Ruby from a puppy and absolutely adored her. They did everything they possibly could to give her the happiest life.
Ruby was only 5 years old, the same age as their son, Christopher. Ruby has been there for his entire life, so as you can imagine, he is absolutely heartbroken to have lost his best friend. 😢💔🐾
As if losing Ruby wasn't devastating enough, her family have now been left with a huge vet bill after her emergency operation, scans, tests, biopsy and everything else that was done trying to save her.
Their insurance will cover some of the costs, but sadly it doesn't come anywhere near the total.
They are such a lovely family and have already been through more than enough. I can't bear the thought of them having the added worry of a huge vet bill while they're grieving for Ruby, so I've set up a GoFundMe to try and take at least some of that pressure away. ❤️

💔 A heartbreaking visit with Ruby today 💔
I genuinely welled up when I saw Ruby today. It was absolutely heartbreaking seeing the biggest, strongest bitch I’ve ever walked looking so thin and poorly. 😢
Just 9 days ago, 5 year old Ruby was rushed to the vets for emergency surgery for pyometra and had her womb removed. Sadly, she hasn’t recovered well at all. She’s lost an incredible 15kg, isn’t eating, and after more scans and tests today, the vets discovered she has a “leopard spleen” lymphoma. 💔
But even feeling as poorly as she does, my Ruby still somehow found the strength to get up when she saw us. Her tail started wagging and she gave me one of her big, slobbery kisses. 🥹❤️
Knowing that was the last time I’ll ever see her has absolutely broken my heart.
On Monday, Ruby will be put to sleep, surrounded by the people who love her. 💔🌈
Being a dog walker means you fall in love with dogs that aren’t technically yours, but they become part of your life and part of your family all the same. Ruby has always been such a big, strong, beautiful girl, and I’m going to miss her more than words can say.

👻🌲 I genuinely thought I’d seen a ghost! 🌲👻
Walking through the forest, I spotted something amongst the trees that s**t the life out of me 😳🤣
I know it sounds silly, but at first I honestly thought it was a ghost! There was this figure just standing completely still amongst the trees, not moving… just staring in our direction. 😱
As I got closer, I realised it was actually a lady in a light-coloured anorak with her hood pulled right around her face, most likely out foraging. 🙈😂
I’ve seen her a few times since and she still gets me every bloody time! 🤣 There’s something slightly spooky about the way she just stops dead and stands completely still when we come past.
Perfect timing for October though… 🎃👻🌲🐾

Well… this past week was a bit of a tough one! 😫🙈
After helping a friend move last weekend, my back was absolutely killing me, so apologies again to those whose walks I had to cancel. ❤️🐾
Then came Friday… what a DISASTER! 😂
I arrived at the secured field, got all the dogs out of the van and then received a phone call from the field owner… someone had forgotten to book it! 🙈🤣 So it was all dogs BACK in the van sharpish and off to the forest instead! 🌲🐶
As if that wasn't enough, my van key then SNAPPED in the ignition! 😫🔑 Thankfully, for once luck was on my side and I had my spare key with me, so it didn't hold us up too much!
Other than my back, no field and a broken van key… it was actually a brilliant week! 🤣🤣
Lots of sniffing, running, playing and happy Go Lea'd doggies doing what they do best. 🐾❤️
Here's hoping next week is a little less eventful… although knowing me, I wouldn't bet on it! 😂🙈
