Today's training session was with a German Shepherd called Shadow, who has just started her 5-week training programme with me.

Shadow is 6 month old and currently pulls on the lead, lunges at passing cars, and is still quite mouthy. These behaviours can be challenging for owners, but with the right training and consistency, they can be improved.

For her very first lesson, Shadow did brilliantly. We started putting some foundations in place and she responded really well. It's always rewarding to see a dog begin to understand what's being asked of them and to watch their confidence grow.

I'm excited to work with both Shadow and her owner over the coming weeks and can't wait to see the progress she makes.

Remember, every well-trained dog starts.

Two Cane Corsos came to me for training due to pulling on the lead and not listening to their owners.

As with many dogs, we went right back to the basics and started from the beginning with obedience training. Building strong foundations is key to long-term success.

After just the first lesson, the owners were delighted with the progress. They said their dogs had never walked so well on the lead before!

Seeing that improvement so quickly gave them confidence, and they've now decided to continue with further training.

Great work from both dogs and their owners — looking forward to seeing what we achieve together over the coming sessions.

Training Session with Major 🐾

Today I worked with a dog called Major.

Major's a lovely dog, but he has a couple of challenges we're working through. He tends to pull on the lead and is very keen to interact with every dog he sees, making it difficult for him to stay focused on his handler.

In today's session, we concentrated on heel work, building engagement, and teaching him that paying attention to his handler is more rewarding than everything else going on around him.

It's early days, but he made some great progress and showed some really nice moments of focus. Looking forward to seeing how he develops over the coming sessions.

Another successful training session today!

Working with a dog displaying aggression-related behaviours, we focused on heel work, engagement, control, and maintaining calm around distractions.

With three other dogs present, the owners did a fantastic job applying the techniques and taking control of the situation. The dog's progress throughout the session was impressive, showing much better focus and responsiveness.

The owners were so pleased with the results that they've requested ongoing training to continue building confidence, control, and reliability.

Great work from everyone involved today. Consistent training really does produce results! 💪
