Tilgate Park is one of Crawley's most popular places with something for everyone. Lakes, forests, formal gardens, Tilgate Nature Centre, cafe, craft units, Go Ape, boating, mountain biking, outdoor gym and so much more. Tilgate Nature Centre is open from:

10am-4pm November to March

10am-6pm April to October

Please note that last entry is one hour prior to closing. Tilgate Nature Centre is closed on Christmas Day.

Are YOU joining us on the 20 September to celebrate 60 years of Tilgate park!?

From 1pm-7pm we're celebrating the best in local talent with FREE live music in the Walled Garden.

Bring a chair, grab some food and drink from our amazing street food traders and bar, and relax (or have a dance) to some live music.

Here's the lineup:

Tilgate Park’s Magical Christmas is BACK - and we’re looking for performers to help make it sparkle!

Dancers, singers, choirs, jugglers, unicyclists… whatever your talent is, we want to hear from you.

If you’d like some time in the spotlight on 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22 or 23 December, drop us an email at [email protected].

Wow, what a WILD Weekend we've had!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our charity fundraiser this weekend! We had lots of fun: faces were painted, artefacts were investigated, games were played and cakes were eaten and you might have even heard us on Susy Radio this morning! Thanks to their presenting team for joining us and also to our friends at Turtle Tally UK for helping spread the message of how the plight of terrapins and their relatives in the UK - it was lovely to have you all along to share the weekend! It may have been a little bit rainy at times, so we're so grateful to the huge amount of visitors who showed up to support the vital work of TRAFFIC in combating illegal wildlife trade!

Tilgate Park’s Magical Christmas is BACK - running 5–6, 12–13 and 19–23 December - and we can’t wait to welcome you for another season of festive fun!

Our Early Bird Storytime with Santa tickets are now live, and if you book between today and 31 August, you can enjoy this magical experience for just £14.95.

Children will step into Santa's cosy grotto where they’ll enjoy a magical story from Santa, before saying hello and having a photo taken with him. Afterwards, they’ll wander through to the elves’ workshop, where they can choose their very own toy to take home. The whole experience runs for around 20 minutes and is packed with festive fun from start to finish.

Prices for Storytime with Santa will rise after 31 August, and Santa’s Grotto tickets will be released a little later this year - keep an eye on our socials for updates!

It's our Wild Weekend fundraiser tomorrow and Sunday! Don't let any weather concerns dissuade you, we have marquees to cover our stalls and activities and our events will go ahead as expected! Stay dry, see the animals and help make a difference! Remember, all contributions will go towards the vital work that TRAFFIC carries out across the world, combating the illegal wildlife trade. We'll see you on Saturday and Sunday!

There's only a few days left of the Great British Summer Savings scheme, which means there's still time to visit Tilgate Zoo with discounted entry for EVERYONE, but not long! The scheme runs until 1st September, so why not use it this weekend for discounted entry during our Wild Weekend Fundraiser? A family day out with loads of activities at a discount?! No wonder Spud the capybara was desperate to speak to you!

All the stalls, all the meet and greets, all the talks, all the games, all the fun... All we need is all of you!
Join us this weekend on 29th and 30th August at Tilgate Zoo for our fundraising weekend in aid of TRAFFIC, combating illegal wildlife trade.
Alongside the organisations who have already provided some fantastic raffle prizes, we also are very grateful to Tilgate Bakery, Portland Vets Crawley and Hairy Dog Brewery for their awesome offerings - you'll have to try our tombola to see what you can win!

We'll see you on Saturday and Sunday!

Our own collectible card game featuring animals from Tilgate Zoo is available to buy NOW!

Animals Aces is a simple two-player card game that plays in less than five minutes. The base game costs £2.50 and contains 6 unique animals from Tilgate Zoo.

We have more seasonal cards to reveal in the future, the first being over Halloween... so keep your eyes peeled!

ALSO - if you manage to find a golden 'Max the alpaca' card, you'll win an animal experience for two - so what are you waiting for!?
