Meet Brian the snail (mark two) on the right in this picture, our beloved dog toy that has been entertaining our patients for months. 😍🐾
However, Brian recently met his match with Miss R, a lively terrier who has been visiting our clinic. Miss R has a talent for chewing through almost anything and taking on any challenge that comes her way.

Fear not, though, as we are always prepared to provide our patients with the best care and comfort. We have already prepared Brian the snail (mark three) for our consult room, ready for any dog who needs a distraction or a source of comfort while they wait for their appointment or are feeling anxious.

At our clinic, we believe in the importance of a holistic approach to pet healthcare, treating both the body and mind. That's why we have toys like Brian the snail on hand, to help our furry friends feel more relaxed and at ease when they come to visit us. 🌱💚

If your pet needs a check-up, treatment, or just a quick visit to say hello, bring them to our clinic, and let us pamper them with our integrative veterinary care. We guarantee they'll love our welcoming environment and the many toys and treats we have on hand. We can't wait to see you and your furry friend soon! 🐶🐱

Happy 7th Birthday to our dear patient and friend, Teddy! 🐾🥳

As an integrative vet, I've had the pleasure of treating Teddy, who is not only a valued patient but also the beloved dog of Ruby. Teddy is a sweet and charming dog (unless his a**l glands need doing, he’s not so cooperative then!) who always brings joy to our clinic, and we couldn't let his special day go unnoticed.

Teddy, even in a silly pink hat, you're still looking as handsome as ever and clearly enjoying your birthday pawty! 🎉🎂 We are grateful to have you as a part of our clinic family and to be able to care for you with our integrative approach to veterinary medicine.

We want to thank you for being a good patient and always following our recommendations for a healthy lifestyle. We hope to see you soon for your next well-check visit, and until then, we hope you have a blast enjoying your birthday presents and all the treats you want. 💚

Here's to many more years of health, happiness, and silly pink hats, Teddy! 🐶🎈

Dogs have always been a part of royal celebrations, including coronation ceremonies! 🐶👑
Back in medieval times, it was customary for dogs to be served a feast alongside their human counterparts during coronations and other important events. 🍲🍗
In fact, many kings and queens had their own beloved pet dogs who were often depicted in portraits with them. 🖼️💜
While we may not feed our pets at the royal table these days, dogs continue to play an important role in our lives and bring us joy and companionship. 🐕❤️
Happy Coronation Day to all the royal pups out there! 🎉👑

Share any pictures you have of your pets in celebratory mood! Crowns at the ready!

This is fascinating!

Professor Nick Jeffry was the head of neurology at Cambridge when I was a student, and I feel like his life’s work has been trying to help these little guys with less invasive treatments like surgery. It’ll be really fascinating to see how this research goes , but it looks like the initial cases have had promising outcomes.

Oscar When Oscar, a 5-year-old Dachshund, developed partial paralysis from a herniated disc, he became the first dog to experience a new, non-surgical

I get asked a LOT of questions. Every day I get asked questions- in consults, on email, via phone calls. I get asked questions by clients and non-clients.

And I really love it.

I love trying to share knowledge from being a little further down the path than those asking the questions, from having that knowledge to answer after years of study, or being prompted to do some research to be able to answer that tricky question that I’m not sure about.

And so it got me thinking, perhaps I could start using the (currently dormant but about to rise form the ashes like a phoenix) newsletter to answer some questions that I’m asked, to share that knowledge with a wider audience. Perhaps even, if we had plenty of questions, I might every now and then do a Facebook/Instagram live to answer more questions?

So, I have set up a separate email address - which is in the pic - for you to email your burning questions to about all thing pet or integrative/holistic vet medicine. I can’t guarantee I’ll answer every question and I won’t guarantee I’ll reply to every email, but if you send your question in and you’re signed up to our newsletter then you might see the answer to your burning question in print. And if it’s not your question answered then you won’t be too disappointed because someone else’s will be, and it might be that question you’d pondered over once upon a time but never got an answer to.

Anyone else been watching the programme ‘The last of us’?

No, me neither, but I have read some articles about it and how a human colonising fungus turns everyone into zombies. It’s based on this little fungus, cordyceps which does exactly that to various insects (hence it’s other name the caterpillar fungus). Thankfully our body temperatures are too high for it to infect us (currently, who knows what the future might hold?! 🧐😜)

And whilst in this programme it’s a killer, actually it can also be used medicinally! And I do! Cordyceps is amazing for a variety of reasons (I take it daily at the moment), it can be used for respiratory issues, kidney disease, recovery from exhaustion or disease, geriatric support and cancer.

I see this gorgeous boy Freddie on a regular basis to keep him nice and comfy. Freddie is a ‘caring canine’ and a few years ago he used to help children to read. He’s retired now but look at that bond (swipe left) between this child that he helped and Freddie.

I know our pets are amazing but things like this remind me just how special they are ☺️

Happy Chinese New Year for yesterday!

This year is the year of the water rabbit. Did you know that rabbit respond really well to acupuncture? And herbs (they are called herbivores ☺️)? If you have a bunny that you think could benefit then please do get in touch.

The water rabbit is considered kind, thoughtful and earnest- those who couple these qualities with the inner reflection of the water element will cultivate success this year.

🐶🐶 We heard that January is National Walk Your Dog Month! 🐶🐶

This is goes without saying that every month is, but we would love to see where your dog’s favourite place to walk is.

Teddy’s favourite place is most definitely the beach!🌊 🐶
