My name is Catherine Hoy and my passion is all things furry, scaly and feathery. I have a lifetime of experience working with animals ranging from every day pets to farm animals. My own furs and feathers include a Lurcher X called Jack and a blue merle collie x lurcher called Mabel. I've a herd of 3 guinea pigs, 3 chinchillas, 1 ducks, a flock of very spoilt hens, Mr Mushroom m, Tomlin, Jerry and

Max my beautiful tortoises. Catherine’s Creature Comforts offers outreach sessions to Residential Homes, Homes for the Disabled and Dementia Homes. I also attend schools, youth groups for educational talks and also meet and greet for parties, one to one therapy or family therapy. I aim to inform, educate and inspire pet owners and animal lovers alike about animal behavior, welfare and longevity of owning any pet from a stick insect to a dog! This is a voluntary service. Donations welcome.

The sun will never set on the love I have for you - Kingfishr - the tune of summer 2026.

I am truly blessed, honored, privileged, lucky, grateful.... to be surrounded in friends like yous 💓

As you all know I had the pleasure of the Bonds here at the beginning of August. The Fleadh, yous remember. That was probably my last post.
That was such an amazing week. Oh my... history being made and all that there 🧡✨️🤗

August ended with my Welsh giants. Im fighting tears typing this.

The work these guys have carried out in my world is nothing less than incredible 😲. They worked like horses 🐎 all week. My gratitude is replacing my guilt (that's a work in progress)
Rachel and Olly, thank you so much for everything, for coming to visit me, thank you.
My world is organised and clear of clutter and danger. I simply cannot express....
Your wee ones (not that much smaller than me) are an absolute credit to you both. An honour and privilege to be in their company.
My world is full of love and noises that only memories hold.

Hello, wow, this looks like a good place to live. My name is little Miss Sparrowhawk and I love this magical buffet you have going on here.

Little Miss Get yourself a hook and go and sling it - what is actually wrong with you? You shouldn't be sitting this close to me!
Also, my chickens were just staring at her. Now my wee seramas were in the avery with boys around them but my leghorns and brown hens were just scratching away, not a care in the world.

Me, i was losing my head, marbles, panicking, getting my world into the safety of the avery!

Ahhhhh... now I do think she might be sick or young and doesn't know how to hunt yet! I dont know but I do know that she shouldn't be sitting that close to me.

The day before, I heard a ruffle in the hedge behind my fencing, I was nose to beak with her then. I did put the hose onto her to try to drive her out and away.
This photo was yesterday morning, I think she enjoyed her spa evening! Ahhhhhh

Needless to say, my world is locked in, i am taking no risks!

Noone would believe me, if I ever write that book!

Friends 🧡 to say I am the richest soul alive is an understatement. How lucky am I to have such amazing friends in my world. Thank you Adam and Keery for an amazing few days and the Fleadh... icing on the cake 🥮 amazing memories were made.

My amazing daddy has danced about 4 times this week at the Fleadh - the man is a machine 💪 and all his team mates. My goodness but it is good fun!
Ceílì dances happened every day in the Europa hotel. I simply cannot express how amazing this week has been for us all.

Spontaneously getting kidnapped to get my hair done was not on my 2026 bingo card as ive been on this chemical free drive for my hair. Well, that's out the window now and the supermodel that is now ME has entered the building!
Life is short, let others work their magic on you, its amazing how amazing it will make you feel. Thank you Mo 😍😍♥️😍😍 you amazing souls sister ❤️

My amazing neighbours and friends allowing me to be a passenger princess (when I have no car), grabbing lifts to the train station for another day at the Fleadh!

I moved home in 2019, if ive been to Belfast 3 times since then.....
This WEEK ive been to Belfast 3 times.
That speaks volumes.

When we do it. We do it right.
Well done Belfast. How I was once scared - now I am so proud.

As for my beautiful souls in my world.
Oh to be an animal in my own world. They are all loving life and living their dreams ✨️

Cheers Jack, constant pain, complex regional pain syndrome, collapsed knee, bone on bone, crumbling bone.... ill try to keep it under wraps there my boy!
I was the proud owner of 9 pins and a plate until October 2023 when they got removed in preparation for the next chapter. New knee.
Im not ready to go there, I am managing what I have with grace and gratitude.

My body has had a LOT of trauma 😞 more than most. I have recognised this (through my dreams / nightmares) and decided to nip that issue in the bum right away.
I have been receiving EMDR therapy. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
To say i am eternally grateful for the help I am receiving is an understatement.
Personal responsibility, personal growth, personal achievements ✨️

9 years today - the initial doc was right about 1 thing - it was a life changing accident 😳 it may have taken me 9 years to accept it!
