Fionn turned SIXTEEN yesterday 💙
Sixteen years of the best boy. He’s witnessed all our milestones, everything life’s thrown at us and with all life’s changes, he’s been our constant.
His eyes are now milky. He’s slightly wobbly on his feet from time to time and when he no longer responds to my call, I’m pretty sure it’s now not selective hearing 😔😂.
He spends much of his days sleeping and is no longer able to accompany me on our long walks, he’s passed that baton on to Leo (although Fionn never rolled in p**p on repeat, but we’ll say no more on that subject 😐).
However he still lights up when he sees his food bowl or lead lifted and greets us all with a wagging tale and a nuzzle of his nose.
We’re not sure how much longer he’ll be with us and how many more of our milestones he’ll see, but for now he’s happy living a slower paced life and we’re happy to make the changes needed to keep him here, comfortable with us.
If you’re considering having a dog in your life, then it is for life, their life. How ever long it may be.
