Today we said goodbye to our incredible girl, Poppy. 💔

Anyone who ever met her will understand just how special she was. She had a way of making everyone fall in love with her instantly. She never asked for permission before giving out her kisses — she just gave them freely, along with her whole heart.

She has been our constant companion, our shadow, our comfort, and such a huge part of our everyday lives. The silence today feels unbearable, we are devastated.

Please bear with us over the next few days. We are still open as usual, but we may be a little quieter and not quite as chatty while we try to process this huge loss.

Thank you for your understanding, and for loving her as much as so many of you did.

Sleep well our little jacket potato.

The Scottish SPCA is urging the Scottish Government to introduce a pet “permitted” (positive) list — a new law that would ban most pet animals by default.

That means thousands of responsible keepers could lose the animals they love.
It means fewer choices, fewer freedoms, and huge uncertainty for the future of animal keeping.

This doesn’t just affect Scotland — once laws like this start, they can spread.

Scrappy and Hilda have been to the groomers this week and what an adventure it was!

Hilda had the BEST time and is already counting down the days until her next visit — new best friend unlocked!
Scrappy was a little more nervous. After a not-so-great past grooming experience (early pickup while still soaking wet level traumatic), he arrived with a very detailed list of commands… BUT thanks to the patience, care, and understanding at Lou’s Groom Saloon, he ended up having a great time too, was even having a cuddle in the sun watching the birds when we picked him up!
