Today marks 40 years of service for our practice manager, Michelle, at Godiva Vets! 🎉🐾

Michelle started in 1986 as a Youth Training Scheme RVN, when the practice consisted of just one vet and two nurses working out of a converted doctor’s surgery.

Fast forward 40 years, and Godiva now has a team of 25, including 8 vets… and Michelle is still at the heart of it all, helping the practice grow into the amazing place it is today. 💜

We are so incredibly proud of everything Michelle has achieved over the years, and even more grateful for the support, dedication and care she has given to the practice and all of us along the way. ❤️

Congratulations Michelle! 40 years is an incredible achievement! Thank you for everything, from us all. 🥂🐾

☀️🐾 KEEP YOUR PETS COOL! 🐾☀️

With temperatures predicted to reach over 35°C this week, please take extra care of your pets.

🐶 Walk dogs early morning or late evening and avoid hot pavements.
🐱 Keep cats indoors or provide plenty of shade and fresh water.
🐰 Rabbits need extra care too! Make sure they have plenty of shade, fresh water and good ventilation. Check them regularly for signs of overheating or flystrike.
🚗 NEVER leave any pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes.

🔥 Panting, weakness, drooling, confusion or collapse can be signs of heatstroke. Heatstroke is an emergency, contact your vet immediately.

Stay cool, stay safe and look after those furry family members! 💜🐾
