Happy anniversary to us!

Today marks 8 years since New Moon Rescue - TNR began on 1st June 2018.

What started as a small effort to help stray and colony cats, this rescue became a registered “no kill” charity and has grown into a dedicated rescue supported by more than 40 volunteers, all working together to make a difference.

Over the years, we have trapped, neutered, and cared for countless cats and kittens. While neutering remains at the heart of what we do, we also rehome friendly and not so friendly cats, giving them the opportunity to find safe, loving homes, changing their lives and the families who are lucky enough to adopt them.

Every rescue, every veterinary appointment, every foster placement, and every successful adoption has been made possible by the commitment of our volunteers, supporters, adopters, and veterinary partners.

To everyone who has been part of New Moon Rescue over the last eight years—thank you. Your compassion, hard work, and dedication have changed the lives of over 2,700 cats.

Quite amazingly Luna had her 5 kittens this morning. They are all doing fine. Well done fosterer Laura who is managing it all so well. 😻

Here’s to 8 years of rescue, neutering, rehoming, and teamwork.

An unusual post for a cat rescue, but…

One of our volunteers has been asked to find a new home for Nugget, a young Scots Grey cockerel.

Unfortunately, his helpful morning wake-up calls have not proved popular with the neighbours! 🫣

Always sad when cats get over looked at any rescue.

Dusty and Denver are still searching for their forever home 🏡💔

We first posted about this lovely pair back in March, and they’ve now spent 248 days in our care waiting for someone to give them the chance they deserve!

They would love a calm, loving home where they can finally settle in and be part of a family 🥰

Please help us find them their happy ending by sharing this post far and wide 🙏

Cookie (grey tabby) and her brother Bounty are looking to be adopted together. They can be viewed now and ready for adoption 3-4 weeks once chipped and vaccinated.

Still waiting for her forever home. Almost got adopted but wasn’t the right time. She really is a lovely older cat.

Found on Longlands Avenue, Coulsdon, CR5

Not chipped under 4 months old and neighbours have noticed her in gardens for past month but no one has claimed her.

Hopefully her family will come forward.

Beautiful Macron will be looking for her forever home in 2-3 weeks. She’s around 2 years old and although great with children and very playful, she’s not keen on other cats, although this may change. She will need a safe garden and someone who wants to spoil her. Loves cuddles!
