Now this is one of our incredible reptiles we only get to appreciate when darkness falls. Introducing the magnificent Howard the Gargoyle Gecko. His remarkable marks and vibrant colours create a flawless camouflage.

⚡ WE NEED YOUR HELP – POWERING THE ROADSIDE CAFE ⚡
Current amount raised: £170 ❤️🫶🏽🥰
Currently costing us £50+ every 24 hours running on petrol!!

Running a cafe off generators wasn’t exactly in the business plan… but here we are. 😅

Over the past few weeks we’ve been dealing with major electrical issues at The Roadside Cafe. That means juggling generators, waking up through the night to check fuel, and sometimes not even knowing if we’ll be able to open the doors the next morning.

If we didn’t live on site… honestly, the cafe would probably already be closed.

But giving up isn’t in our nature.

The real solution is getting the cafe properly connected to mains electricity, which would finally give us stable power and secure the future of the cafe.

The problem?
For a small independent cafe, the cost of bringing mains power to the site is huge.

So for the first time ever… we’re asking for help from the community that has supported us from day one.

We’ve set up a GoFundMe to try and raise the money needed to bring proper electricity to The Roadside Cafe and keep this place running for the amazing people who walk through the doors every day.

Since opening our doors, we’ve helped so many people. Not just financially or physically… but mentally too. We’ve helped people through tough moments with a warm meal, a proper conversation, or even something as simple as giving someone a warm sleeping bag when they needed it most.

This place has never just been a cafe.

It’s where bikers stop mid-ride.
Truckers grab a proper hot meal.
Locals come in for a chat.
Strangers sit down and leave as friends.

It’s also where we’ve tried to give back whenever we can — especially through our Pay It Forward board helping people who might be struggling.

And this is only the beginning.

We have huge plans for the future and want to take our Pay It Forward initiative to another level, helping even more people who need it.

But first… we need to keep the lights on.

If just 1,000 people donated £10, we’d not be far from our goal and finally secure mains electricity for the cafe.

If you can donate, the link is below ❤️
If you can’t, sharing this post could make all the difference.

Let’s prove that community really can keep the lights on.

Thank you for being part of The Roadside Cafe journey.
