Choosing the correct roof for your Horse Walker

Not sure whether to go for a Track Roof or a Fully Covered Roof?

A Track Roof is a great choice if you want to keep the walking track protected from the weather while still keeping the centre of the walker open and well ventilated.

A Fully Covered Roof gives you maximum protection, covering the whole walker and helping you get more use from it throughout the year.

Whichever option you choose, Molenkoning roofs are built to last, using:

- Galvanised steel structure
- Strong timber roof supports
- Durable Molipol GRP roofing
- Powder-coated finishing options
- Designed for up to 56kg/m² load

Track Roof = practical, open and cost-effective
Fully Covered Roof = maximum protection and coverage

Every yard is different, so we can help you choose the best option for your space, horses and budget.

Here at Molenkoning, we are proud to offer our range of DIY Horse Walker Units, designed to make owning a quality horse walker simpler and more affordable. With straightforward assembly, these units are designed to be built in under 3 hours.

As standard, each DIY Horse Walker Unit comes complete with:

Could the Skywalker Be Your Next Equestrian Project?

As yards face increasing pressure on available space, unpredictable weather, and ageing infrastructure, finding smarter ways to exercise horses has never been more important.

The Molenkoning Skywalker combines the benefits of a traditional horse walker and an exercise pen in one innovative system. The covered design allows horses to exercise comfortably in both rain and intense sunshine, helping maintain consistent fitness, mobility, and wellbeing throughout the year.

By maximising the use of available space while creating a safer and more comfortable environment for both horses and handlers, the Skywalker is a practical investment for modern equestrian facilities.

If your existing walker is nearing the end of its life, or you feel your facilities could be working harder for you, why not get in touch and see how a Skywalker could benefit your yard?

While we've certainly been blessed with good weather this summer, it's important to think ahead about what your facilities can offer throughout the year.

Did you know that our covered lunge pens are tall enough to ride in? This gives you even greater flexibility and usability, whether you're looking to avoid the wind and rain or escape the intense heat of the summer sun.

The example shown in these images features one of our indoor lunge arenas with a generous 3.5m eaves height, providing ample space for both lunging and ridden work while offering protection from the elements all year round.

We are able to provide a quote for any size and shape and can even increase the height of the eaves to 4m if needed!

If this is of interest to you than please do call us on 01490736323 or email us at [email protected]
