Pet photographer in North Wales I capture the true character of your dog, cat, horse or other animals

🤍 Meet Bella 🤍

There’s something rather special about a portrait like this.

Bella came into the studio for her photoshoot, and this simple, clean setup puts all the attention where it belongs — on her. Her eyes, her expression and all those little details that make her unmistakably Bella.

Not every dog needs an outdoor adventure to create a beautiful portrait. A studio session gives us the opportunity to create something more refined and timeless, with professional lighting and no distractions.

But if your dog would rather be running through fields, woodland or along a beach, an outdoor session can capture that side of their personality too.

🐾 Studio or outdoor — the choice is yours.

I offer relaxed pet photography sessions across North Wales, Denbighshire and surrounding areas, tailored to your dog and the type of portraits you want.

Perhaps it’s time your dog had a portrait worthy of the wall?

📩 Message me to discuss your session or book your photoshoot.

And tell me… would your dog be happier in the studio or out exploring? 👇

It’s warm out there, so Benson’s adventure looked a little different. ☀️🐾

This handsome lad is Benson, an 8-month-old Labrador x Border Collie from Llandderfel.

With the temperatures climbing this week, it’s worth remembering that our dogs don’t cope with the heat as well as we do. If you’re heading out, try to stick to early mornings or later evenings, take plenty of fresh water, and if the pavement feels too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

The warmer weather doesn’t mean you have to miss out on beautiful photographs though. During summer, I simply adapt my sessions to suit the conditions. We choose cooler times of day, head for shaded woodland or streams where possible, and let the dogs set the pace. Their comfort and welfare will always come first.

Benson certainly enjoyed exploring, and I love how this photo captures his happy, carefree personality.

If you’ve been thinking about having your own dog photographed, just drop me a message. We’ll find the right location and the right time to keep your best friend safe, comfortable and looking their absolute best.

💬 How are you keeping your dogs cool this week? I’d love to hear your tips.

📸 Please remember: If your dog looks uncomfortable or the weather is simply too hot, we’ll always rearrange your session. No photograph is worth putting a dog at risk.

Meet Benson from Llandderfel 🐾🤎

Benson is just 8 months old and already has more personality than most dogs twice his age.

He’s a lovely mix of Labrador Retriever and Border Collie, so he’s got the best of both worlds — bright, energetic, affectionate, and always ready for whatever comes next.

I absolutely love this portrait. Those wide eyes and that slightly surprised expression make it look as though he’s just heard the word “walkies”… or maybe someone opened the biscuit tin.

Dogs change so quickly at this age, and that’s one of the reasons I enjoy photographing young dogs so much. Their expressions are full of curiosity, mischief, and joy, and Benson had all three in abundance.

💬 What do you think caught Benson’s attention?

📸 If your dog is growing up far too quickly, now is a wonderful time to capture this stage before it becomes a memory.

🐾 Meet Duke 🐾

This handsome English Pointer has that classic, thoughtful look — always alert, always taking everything in. You can almost see him thinking.

Dogs like Duke are a joy to photograph. It’s not about forcing poses — it’s about giving them the space to be themselves and capturing that one moment where everything just comes together.

That’s where the magic is.

🎉 Rupert is 3 today! 🎉

This handsome fox red Labrador is celebrating his birthday doing what he loves most — exploring the dunes and keeping a watchful eye on everything around him.

Rupert has the perfect mix of strength, curiosity, and loyalty, and photographing dogs like him is exactly why I love what I do. Every dog has their own personality — and capturing that moment when it really shines through is something special.

Happy 3rd Birthday Rupert! 🐾

🔥 Oscar 🔥

Black Labradors can be one of the most challenging dogs to photograph well — but when the light is right, the result is something special.

Oscar absolutely nailed his studio session.
That deep black coat, those expressive eyes, and that bold red bandana… pure character.

Studio sessions are perfect for creating striking, timeless portraits that focus completely on your dog’s personality.

No distractions.
Just your dog at their absolute best.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your dog could look this good in a portrait — the answer is yes.
