🚨 Walkies warnings 🚨

Autumn is made for walking, but did you know that the change in the seasons can bring some hidden hazards for your dogs. That's why we have launched our new Walkies Warning Signs- to help dog owners navigate seasonal dangers and keep your dogs safe.

Here's what you should look out for in your area:
- Toxic mushrooms and fungi
- Acorns and conkers
- Rotting and mouldy fruit
- Slugs and snails
- Ticks

Our full guide can be found here 👉 https://bit.ly/4hlRok7

🤫 THE 60-SECOND SILENT TRAINING CHALLENGE

For Deaf Dog Awareness Week, we're challenging you to discover just how much you and your dog can communicate without saying a word.

Pick something your dog already knows and train for 60 seconds using just your hands, body movement and the way you deliver their reward.

No verbal cues.
No marker words.
No chatting away to them (harder than it sounds).

Then come back and tell us…

What did you notice? 👀

Did your dog watch you more closely?
Did you realise you already use loads of visual cues without thinking about it?
Or did you discover just how much you normally talk? 😆

Challenge accepted? Try it. Report back. Then tag someone else to take the 60-second challenge! 👇

Your dog can’t answer this consultation. You can.

If you live with a dog who struggles with fireworks, you’ll know it isn’t necessarily Bonfire Night itself that’s the problem.

It’s the unexpected bang on a random evening. The firework at 10pm when nobody knew one was coming. The dog who was happily asleep five seconds earlier and is suddenly frightened.

The Government is currently consulting on changes to firework regulations, including whether the maximum noise level of fireworks available to the general public should be reduced.

And this isn’t a fringe concern. Government polling found that, among people who disliked firework noise, 91% cited its effect on animals.

The consultation is open until 7 October 2026.

Whatever your view on fireworks, this is your opportunity to tell the Government what you think and, importantly, to share your own experience of living with a dog during firework season.

Have your say.

We’ve put the official Government consultation link in the comments.
