Recently, our team took a well-deserved pause for a Wellness Workshop hosted by Florish with Fig 🧘♂️✨

We dived into practical mindfulness techniques like Box Breathing and the 60-Second Reset, alongside some fantastic group activities that brought us even closer together.

One of our favourite moments was reflecting on gratitude. When asked what they were most grateful for, the team's answers reminded us of what truly matters:
❤️ Family & friends
🐾 Our pets
💼 Working with such a supportive team
🌱 Everyday kindness & deep friendships

Sometimes, we all just need to take a minute to pause and reset our minds. Want to try it yourself? Check out how to practice Box Breathing and the 60-Second reset below!

Did you know we have a dedicated Stray Fund here at Prince Bishop Vets? 🐾
This fund allows us to provide vital medical care and treatment for sick or injured stray animals and wildlife brought into our clinic.

So far this year, the fund has helped us care for two heavily pregnant mam cats (who both safely delivered their litters!), numerous stray cats, rabbits, ferrets, and a wide variety of birds including a very recent pheasant patient!

Even for a veterinary practice, the cost of medical treatment adds up quickly. That’s why we set up this fund a few years ago and host regular fundraisers to keep the pot topped up so we can always help animals in need.

If you are passing by or visiting the practice and would like to support a great cause, please speak to a member of our team about making a donation. Every single penny is deeply appreciated and goes directly toward saving local lives! 💜

☀️ 🐾 June Pet Care Tips! 🐾☀️
With the sunshine finally making an appearance, summer is officially on the way!
To keep your furry, feathered, or scaled family members safe, happy, and healthy this month, here are our top pet tips for June:

🐾 1. The 5-Second Pavement Test
As the pavement heats up, it can easily burn sensitive paw pads. Before heading out for a walk, place the back of your hand flat on the pavement for 5 seconds. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s definitely too hot for their paws! Stick to early morning or late evening walks when things have cooled down.

🐛 2. Top Up Parasite Prevention
Flea and tick season is in full swing. If your pets are spending more time exploring the grass or joining you on summer hikes, make sure they are fully up to date with their monthly preventative treatments.

💧 3. Keep Hydration Fresh & Fun
Pets can overheat quickly. Keep multiple water bowls around the house and garden, and drop a few ice cubes in to keep it chilled. For a fun summer treat, you can even freeze some pet-safe fruits (like blueberries or strawberries) or dog-friendly bone broth into ice cube trays!

🚗 4. Not Even For a Minute!
Never leave your pet inside a parked car, even with the windows cracked or parked in the shade. On a mild day, temperatures inside a vehicle can skyrocket to dangerous levels in just a few minutes. If you’re running errands, it’s always safest to leave them relaxing at home in a cool room.

💬 We’d love to see your summer snaps! Drop a photo of your pet enjoying the sunshine in the comments below! 👇👇
