📢 REMINDER – WE ARE CLOSED TODAY! 🐾

🎉 WE OPEN FRIDAY MORNING AT OUR NEW LOCATION! 🎉

📍 115 Durham Road, Blackhill

We’re literally just up the road, and you’ll have to pass the new shop to get to the old one! 😁

🚗 FREE PARKING is available in the car park just across the road, so popping in should be nice and easy!

We’ve had some real help over the last couple of months getting everything ready for the move, and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s mucked in and helped out. Some of the jobs definitely weren’t the most fun! 😂🔨

It really does mean a lot, and we couldn’t have done it without you! 🥰

🐾 A FEW CHANGES TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT…

We have plenty of changes happening behind the scenes, including a NEW TILL SYSTEM, which means a brand-new loyalty scheme will be coming soon! 🎉 Keep your eyes peeled for more details!

🚽 One little thing to mention… unfortunately, we no longer have a toilet available for public use at the new premises, so please make sure you go before leaving the house! 😂😂

🙏 Please bear with me over the next few days while I get settled in and figure out all the little things that come with a new shop. There’s lots to learn, lots to organise and probably a few things I’ll need to work out as I go!

Thank you all so much for your patience, kindness and continued support throughout this move. It honestly means the world to me. ❤️

Got a lovely breeding size group of Hoplisoma (Corydoras) sterbai in at the moment.
These won’t be long before laying eggs all over.

📢 WE’RE MOVING AGAIN! 🐠 (no confirmed date yet) business as usual till the move goes ahead.

Don’t worry, though — we’re literally only 30 seconds down the road! 😂

There are a few reasons behind the move, but ultimately, it’s all about making the shop better for you lot.

🐟 A better layout – The upstairs/downstairs setup in our current shop just doesn’t work as well as we’d like.

🚗 Better parking – We know parking has been a criticism from a lot of you, so hopefully this will make visiting us a lot easier!

🐠 More space, more choice – We’ll have room to offer more of the fish you’ve been asking for, as well as spreading out our current stock so you can see everything much better.

And just to make it clear… there are still absolutely NO plans for saltwater fish or reptiles! 😂

This isn’t us changing what we do — it’s simply about creating a bigger, better version of the shop you already know and love. ❤️

We’re really excited about this next step and can’t wait to show you what we’ve got planned!

Probably amongst the most stressful weeks yet in the business.

But on the bright side Brazil shipment arrived last night and will be ready for sale soon.
Some nice Pleco’s arrived at good sizes.
I’ll attach some photos but they were just quick while unpacking so just imagine how good these will be once settled in.
Also some Krobia Xinguensis at a very good size came in looking awesome.

Always plenty of stock swimming round the tanks. Open Saturday 10-4pm See you all then 😊

🐟 Raccoon Tetra — Hyphessobrycon procyon

A stunning and relatively unusual tetra that gets its name from the distinctive dark “mask” around the eyes, giving it a raccoon-like appearance. 🦝🐟

Hyphessobrycon procyon has a silvery body with subtle golden tones and attractive darker markings, making it a really smart-looking addition to a planted community aquarium.

They are peaceful, active schooling fish and are best kept in a group, where they’ll spend their time cruising through the aquarium and displaying natural social behaviour.
