Robert did amazingly well for only his SECOND ever groom, after a gentle bath, snuggle in a warm towel and fluff dry he was more than happy to be clipped/scissored into a teddy bear cut 🐻 his owners have really taken on my advice and put in so much work at home in getting him ready to get to this stage so early on 👏

“You’re a dog groomer!? You have THE best job ever… all you do is cuddle cute dogs all day” (errrrr, back me up fellow groomers…😳 we bloody wish 🙈🤣🤣🤣) but today I honestly did ❤️ Robert the Maltipoo was an absolute dream for his first groom. Introductory grooms are SO important to welcome puppies to the grooming experience… making it as positive as possible ❤️ a gentle bath, lots of cuddles and play, introductions to new sounds and smells in the salon, sniffing EVERYTHING and of course loads of treats

I’m a bit old skool when it comes to deshedding the double coated doggos 🐶 much prefer deep cleanses, massaging in conditioning treatments and lots of elbow grease with me brush n comb 😮‍💨🤣

Some “deshedding tools” actually cut the topcoat - that we are trying to preserve - disrupting the normal hair growth cycle, resulting in more shedding over time 🙈

The goal is always to maintain healthy skin and hair, only getting rid of the dead and shedding undercoat

Hopefully Fiona and Moon agree dog 👍 2 bin loads of hair but well worth it 😂 promise you guys will feel loads lighter and cooler xx

The incredibly handsome Milo after his tidy up, lots of scissor work and carding to keep his beautiful silky coat looking shiny and healthy 💙 plenty of breaks and snuffling for treats
