We have just recieved an email notification that parvovirus has been diagnosed in the local area. We have no further details other than to say that we do not have a current, active case of parvovirus in our care. Nor do we know whether the case is in Congleton or slightly further afield.

If your dog is up to date with vaccinations, they should be protected against this potentially fatal disease.

If they are not up to date, we would always advise vaccines, but even more so when we may have a case of parvo in the area. It is incredibly contagious and sadly can be fatal.

Today is our staff AGM. As such, we’ll be closing at the slightly earlier time of 5pm, so that our hard-working team aren’t kept behind for too long after their working day. We remain on call for emergencies until our usual time.

The lovely Beau came to visit this week for a pawdicure (nail clip!!) with our nurse. As he was such a good boy, his owner told him he could have a toy...so he jumped right up into the middle of the toys on the table and chose the one he wanted 🤣🤣. What an absolute character he is!!!

Early closure tomorrow due to staff illness. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.

We will be closing at 1pm instead of our usual 4pm, meaning no access to the building. If you have medications to collect tomorrow, please do so before 1pm.

It feels like some time since we did an introduce a staff member post, so here we are with our next one!

Grace is one of our newer members of staff, recently joining us as a vet. Grace brings a certain calm, positive and caring vibe to the practice and whilst she hasn't been with us for long, she has become a very valued team member really quickly. Grace says that the things that she loves most about working at Millie's are the team and the clients, we think this is mutual as we have had ALOT of very positive comments about her from clients.

Grace has 3 labradors of varying ages and a horse and says that if she could be any animal for a day, it would be a fly...be sure to ask her why when you next have an appointment with her! Grace is definitely known amongst the team for her visits to the nearby gym at lunchtime either for a swim or a sauna...we think that's a great way of switching off in the middle of the day and Grace always comes back glowing!

Morning everyone! Just thought we would remind you that we will be without internet for some of the day (probably around lunchtime), but our phones should still be working. We may not be as slick as we usually are, but we will be working very hard to make things run as smoothly as possible whilst we have some vital work done on our IT infrastructure 😊
