Tonight's the night 🐾 Our monthly puppy socialisation evening is back at Congleton Veterinary Centre. Jez will be taking you through the groundwork that makes the biggest difference in those first weeks — plus every pup gets a one-to-one with a vet nurse. A confident dog starts here. Contact to grab your spot for future dates.

Before you pack your dog's bag for a trip away - watch this. Jez explains what happens when owners pack the toys that feel comforting but actually do the opposite. Save this for your next dog holiday. 🐾

Saturday question. Jez has been asked thousands of dog questions over his career. This week he wants yours. What's the one thing about your dog's behaviour you've always wondered about but never asked a professional? Drop it below - he reads every single one. 🐾

This is one of the most important videos Jez has made. The difference between a dog trainer and a dog behaviourist isn't just a title. It can be the difference between solving a problem and making a problem significantly worse. Jez explains - using a real case he was called in to fix after a trainer's advice backfired. It's not about pointing fingers. It's about understanding what your dog actually needs. Watch it. Share it with anyone who's struggling with their dog.

What were you told by a trainer that you later found out was wrong?

Left to right - Flint, Piper, Peggy, Peanut, Lily & Ted.
Four breeds. Six personalities. Six dogs who know that being calm is actually pretty great. This is a snap shot of what our guests can expect at Dog ABC. Unlike most Residential training facilities your dog will NEVER be in a kennel. They become part of our family for the duration of their stay right here in our home.

Every Monday morning looks like this. Jez heads out across the north west to work with dogs and their owners in their own homes - so he can access the dog in its own environment and see exactly what is happening.
Even our residential training will more often than not begin with a home visit to observe and build a case history to develop a bespoke behavioural modification and training program.
If your struggling a home consultation is where we start. Link in bio to book 🐾

Meet Jez — the expert and main man behind Dog ABC.
Jez is a professional dog behaviourist working with 14 vet practices right across the north west with a career spanning 30 years. Aggression, anxiety, reactivity, recall, gundog work, puppy foundations — if it's a behaviour challenge, Jez has likely assessed it, understood why it's happening, and built a plan to work through it. Every 1:1 consultation and every training regime is his.

He also co-founded Content Pet Food, because years of working with dogs who were struggling made him look a lot harder at what they were being fed.

If you'd like a better understanding of your dog's behaviour, Jez is who you start with.
What's one thing about your dog's behaviour you've always wondered about, but never asked a professional? Drop it below — Jez might just answer it for you. 🐾

Did you know? Dogs can detect emotions through scent 🧠🐾

Their noses have up to 300 million scent receptors, allowing them to pick up tiny chemical changes linked to human emotions like stress, fear and happiness. That’s why your dog often seems to know exactly how you’re feeling before you’ve even said a word.

From a behaviour point of view, this is why our own emotions, energy and body language can have such a huge impact on our dogs’ responses and behaviour.
