Meet Jez — the expert and main man behind Dog ABC.
Jez is a professional dog behaviourist working with 14 vet practices right across the north west with a career spanning 30 years. Aggression, anxiety, reactivity, recall, gundog work, puppy foundations — if it's a behaviour challenge, Jez has likely assessed it, understood why it's happening, and built a plan to work through it. Every 1:1 consultation and every training regime is his.

He also co-founded Content Pet Food, because years of working with dogs who were struggling made him look a lot harder at what they were being fed.

Did you know? Dogs can detect emotions through scent 🧠🐾

Their noses have up to 300 million scent receptors, allowing them to pick up tiny chemical changes linked to human emotions like stress, fear and happiness. That’s why your dog often seems to know exactly how you’re feeling before you’ve even said a word.

From a behaviour point of view, this is why our own emotions, energy and body language can have such a huge impact on our dogs’ responses and behaviour.

Our youngest member of our family Wren lapped up her first visit to CheshirePet Medical Centre

How adorable is little Wren 💛
Wren is a beautiful 9-week-old Yellow Labrador who visited us for her very first vaccinations this week. She was such a brave girl and loved all the fuss and cuddles from the team 🐶✨
Starting vaccinations early is an important step in keeping puppies happy, healthy and protected as they grow and explore the world.
We can’t wait to watch Wren grow over the coming months 💕
