So pleased with how well Rada is doing. Normally the sight of a dog chasing a ball would send her into a frenzy. She is now able to watch and recall away without reacting.
This is a great skill to teach your dogs and gives them more freedom on walks.
Practice at a distance and level your dog can cope with! 🐶🐾

Winnie used to be ball obsessed, she would bark and become frantic from the sight of the ball.
This was creating a lot of over arousal and frustration.
Here she is doing a blind retrieval which she absolutely loves.
I did have to help her refocus for a second as she got distracted by an animal scent but she got straight back on the scent.
It’s so important that we facilitate our dog’s needs in an appropriate way.
Give it a go with your dogs rather than throwing the ball for the dog to chase which can cause lots of health and behavioural issues.
Start off with letting your dog see where it lands then build up to blind retrieves.
This is especially fun for gun-dogs. 🐶🐾
