At KR Equine Vets, our USP isn’t just our years of equine experience — it’s making sure our vets head out fully loaded and ready for pretty much anything the day (or your horse!) can throw at them.

Every vet vehicle is packed with the equipment needed to investigate, diagnose and treat your horse on the spot — from digital X-ray and ultrasound to gastroscopy, dentistry and everything in between. 🩺

It’s not goodbye, just see you later! 💕

Today we’re saying a very fond farewell to Elizabeth, who has been an absolutely invaluable part of the team at Dirraw over the past two and a half years.

Head of personality, chief of ideas and someone with an amazing way with people, Elizabeth has brought so much to our team. She’s been an incredible asset, and we’re certainly going to miss her!

Elizabeth is now heading back to Cambodia, where she’ll be supporting a team of volunteers making a phenomenal difference in the tragic world of human trafficking. ❤️

We would hugely encourage everyone to click through and support this fantastic cause, and what better way to recognise Elizabeth’s incredible work than by helping support the work she’s heading off to do.

All of Gemma’s Christmases have come at once! 🎄😂

The new stocks have arrived and been installed at our Antrim base, Island Lodge Farm — and we’re officially ready to rock! 🐴🙌🏼

This means we can now scan mares right through to the end of the 2026 season and be fully set up and ready to go for the 2027 breeding season ahead. 💪🏼✨

We are incredibly excited to officially announce our collaboration with Island Lodge Farm — and to share a vision that has been a pipeline dream of ours for some time…

🐴 The development of an equine-only veterinary clinic in County Antrim. 🐴

We could not have wished for better partners to help make this vision a reality.

Ian & Annette Megahey have welcomed us into Island Lodge Farm with open arms, and from our very first conversations it was clear that we shared the same ambition: a commitment to excellence, quality and the very highest standards of care for horses and their owners.

The Megahey family are steeped in equestrian history and success, with a long-standing involvement across polo, eventing and show jumping. Their passion for horses, their experience within the equestrian world and their vision for excellence make this partnership an incredibly exciting fit for KR Equine Vets.

As one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar, the Royal Dublin Horse Show is finally here! 🐴🇮🇪

This week, we’re proud to see so many of our clients heading to the RDS to compete across a wide range of disciplines. From young horses to national championships, it’s a showcase of the incredible dedication, talent and hard work that goes into getting horse and rider to this stage.

We’d like to wish every one of our clients the very best of luck over the coming days. We hope you and your horses perform to your full potential, enjoy every moment, and most importantly, come home safe and sound.
