RSPCA Animal Centre - Bryn-y-Maen

RSPCA Animal Centre - Bryn-y-Maen If you are looking to report an animal in distress or a Welfare Concern please contact 0300 1234 999 In return a pet will offer fun, friendship and loyalty.

The RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre is situated in the countryside with lovely sea views and surrounded by open fields and woodland, which provide a wonderful location for the rehabilitation and physical enjoyment of the animals. You will find us near Colwyn Bay in Conwy, North Wales, just off the B5113 Llanwrst Road, and a short drive from the A55 coastal road. What we do

We provide specialist

care for domestic and farm animals, and we often treat wildlife before release or transfer to dedicated wildlife centres. We spend a considerable amount of time with our animals getting to know them so that we can assess the kind of home and lifestyle they need. Then, when they are ready, we make every effort to find them a suitable home. Rehoming

At any one time we are caring for over 100 animals at the centre. Our animals are looking for someone to offer them a loving home, to be a friend and look after them. Funding

It costs the RSPCA over Β£1,300 a day to run Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre. We rely entirely on kind donations from people like you. If you would like to support us, or you have room in your home and in your heart to take on a rescue animal, please pay us a visit. If you would like to contribute in other ways, we also operate a volunteer programme and foster scheme. We look forward to seeing you. Regards

The staff at Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre

🐈 Could one of our cats stay with you for a while? 🐈

We are incredibly grateful for the amount of interest in dog fostering we had from our last post. Thank you πŸ’–! We would now like to turn the spotlight to the cats in our care 🐱🐾.

Our centre is grateful to have three cat fosterers, who kindly offer space in their home 🏠 for a rescue cat. The RSPCA is currently caring for hundreds of cats who have lived in difficult situations 😿. Fostering provides them with a safe space to build confidence and experience a loving home πŸ’“ whilst they wait for their forever family πŸ‘ͺ.

As a fosterer you don't need to have an adult only and animal free home. We would love to hear from anyone who has love to give a cat and someone at home who is happy to drive πŸš—πŸ’•.

One of our fosterers described fostering as "a heartwarming experience. I have fostered three cats so far this year, all with their own cheeky personality! It has been wonderful to see them build confidence and find their home. The RSPCA has paid for all of the food and any veterinary treatment. Whenever I have needed to speak to someone, they are always easy to reach. My current foster cat, Zena, is being adopted this weekend, I can't wait to hear how she gets on at home!"

If you have space in your family to welcome a foster cat, we would love to hear from you. You can send in application or message our fostering coordinator by clicking this link ➑ https://volunteer.rspca.org.uk/opportunities/120073-cat-fosterer-cat-fosterer-north-wales-2026-07-17

🌾 RURAL HOME WANTED β˜€οΈπŸΎ

Do you have a peaceful farm, smallholding, or rural property with a warm outhouse or barn? You might just be Riff’s dream human!

Meet Riff, a sweet, low-maintenance neutered boy who is looking for a home where he can simply relax and enjoy the countryside air on his own terms. ❀

Having evidently had very limited interaction with humans in his past, hands-on attention still makes Riff feel nervous.
But beneath his shy exterior, Riff is a laid-back, gentle boy who is perfectly content coexisting peacefully alongside caring owners. πŸ₯°

🏑 Riff's perfect home looks like:

🐾 Rural home, farm, smallholding, or quiet countryside setting with an outhouse, shed or unused stable to call his own
🐾 Could potentially live with other animals, Riff prefers to be independent but we're sure he wouldn't mind coexisting.

If you feel that Riff is the perfect match for you and your home, then please complete one of our application forms linked below:

https://forms.gle/vuiFZdtt4396u8vq9

If your application is successful, a member of our team will be in touch within 10 days. If you don't hear from us within this timeframe, you may have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but please keep checking back for future suitable cats!

These curious cats are Matilda and Isobella who arrived into RSPCA care after being abandoned. Understandably, these sisters are quite nervous ladies and will be searching for a home together to build their confidence 🩷

These kittens are approximately 3 months old. Both girls are microchipped, spayed and have begun their vaccinations, all that is left now is the search for a forever home 🩷

🌟 Could one of our dogs stay with you for a while? 🌟

We have a few dogs πŸ•πŸ© who are hoping to find a loving foster home, whilst they wait for their forever family. Do you have space in your home 🏑 for a rescue dog?

As a fosterer you don't need to have a specific area dedicated for a foster dog or to have an animal free home. Our fosterers are incredible people πŸ’–, many of whom have families πŸ‘ͺ or other animals at home. All we ask is that you have love to give a dog and someone at home who is happy to drive πŸš—πŸ’•.

If you have space in your family to welcome a foster dog, we would love to hear from you. You can send in application or message our fostering coordinator by clicking this link ➑ https://volunteer.rspca.org.uk/opportunities/119708-dog-fosterer-2026-07-13

🐾🐰 HOP-DOPTION APPEAL πŸ‡πŸ©·

These 3 month old girlies are now searching for their forever homes 🩷 the girls could go as pairs or could join a household with an existing, neutered rabbit 🏑 that enjoys playful and energetic companionship 🩷

These girls have grown up in our care and would love a large, indoor space to binky about since living indoors is all they know. They could begin a gradual climitise to the outdoors next summer. We recommend a minimal sizing of 3 x 2 meters and provide this prey species with plenty of hides and access to hay 🩷

If you would like to submit your interest in these girlies, please complete the attached form and a member of our team will be in touch https://forms.gle/vuiFZdtt4396u8vq9

Please Note: we also have 3 month old male rabbits availablefrom the same litter

πŸ’™πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ SEARCHING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ³ πŸ’š

Can you believe that this lovable duo, Gordon and Ramsey still haven't found their forever home? 🏑

These cheeky chaps arrived into our care with many other piggies all rescued from poor conditions πŸ’” Since arriving in our care, these brothers have had the all clear medically and are ready to find their forever home together πŸ’™

The boys would require a secure accommodation of 175cm x 75cm in a quieter area of the home 🏑 and would need to be rehomed together. They could live with secondary school aged children and with other pets as long as they are kept away due to the nervousness of being prey species πŸ’š

These boys are growing in confidence everyday and are searching for that home to provide them with the care and love they deserve. If you feel these 1 year old boys are the piggies you've been searching for, please complete the attached form and a member of our team will be in touch https://forms.gle/vuiFZdtt4396u8vq9
