☔🐾 Wet weather walks, rain and more rain... but the walks carry on! 🐾☔

I think it's fair to say us dog walkers are a hardy breed. Whatever the weather, we're out there trudging through puddles, dodging sideways rain and convincing ourselves that our waterproofs are, in fact, waterproof. 😂

The dogs, of course, couldn't be happier. Mud? Brilliant. Puddles? Even better. A gentle stroll? Absolutely not.

Meanwhile, we're just one soggy sock away from growing gills. 🌧️🐟🤣
Whatever the weather, the tails keep wagging! 🐶❤️

Two new cats have entered the chat! 🐾

It's my first time caring for these two adorable cuties, and I'm already being thoroughly inspected to make sure I meet their standards! 😹

I'm always grateful when pet owners trust me to look after their furry family members while they're away. Making sure pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for in their own homes is what it's all about.

Looking forward to plenty of purrs, fusses, and getting to know these lovely cats over the coming days! 🐱💕

🐾 A day ruled by the cats and small furries today! 🐱🐰🐹

From cat visits to feeding and caring for some very important small furry bosses, it's safe to say they were all running the show as usual! After all, we all know who's really in charge. 😆

The day also included a dog walk with a side challenge of dodging the rain showers ☔🐕. Thankfully, we managed to stay (mostly!) dry and still enjoyed plenty of sniffing, exploring and tail wagging.

No two days are ever the same in pet sitting, and that's exactly why I love it. ❤️

Busy day at Fluff and Tails today! 🐾

It's been one of those days where I've been out and about from morning until evening, caring for lots of lovely pets.
Today's adventures included:

🐱 Visits to 5 cats across 3 different homes
🐰 Feeding and caring for rabbits
🐹 Guinea pig feeds and cage cleaning
🐭 Chinchilla care and cage cleaning
🐶 A dog walk with a happy wagging tail
🐾 A lunchtime let-out visit for two dogs who were very pleased to stretch their legs and enjoy some fuss

And meeting some lovely new doggy clients who i will have the pleasure of walking for a week.

Every pet has their own routine, personality and needs, and I love getting to know them all. Whether it's a long walk, a cuddle with a cat, or making sure the small furries are comfortable and cared for, no two days are ever the same!
Now for a well-earned cuppa before doing it all again tomorrow! ☕🐾❤️

Busy few weeks here at Fluff and Tails! 🐾

I've been kept busy with lots of lovely dogs and cats, as well as meeting some wonderful new clients and their pets. It's always a privilege to be trusted with their care. ❤️

With the recent warm weather, many of my usual dog walks have been swapped for drop-in visits, garden toilet breaks, fresh water top-ups and, of course, plenty of fuss and attention. Safety always comes first, and it's fair to say my doggy clients were more than happy to relax indoors or enjoy a few quiet minutes in the garden rather than head out in the heat! ☀️🐶

There have been lots of cat visits too. Cats need extra care during hot weather as well, although they are usually experts at finding the coolest spot in the house and disappearing there until temperatures drop! 🐱❄️

One of the most important parts of being a pet sitter and dog walker is being adaptable. Every pet is different, and during periods of hot weather it's important to think ahead, adjust routines and tailor visits to keep pets comfortable, safe and happy.

Aweekend (and beyond!) of being ruled by cats 😹🐾

I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last week or so with one lovely pair of cats, and now starting two weeks of visits with another gorgeous duo while their owners are away.

Lots of feeding, fuss, playtime and being silently judged for not opening treats fast enough! 🐱💕

One thing’s for sure — every cat has their own personality, routine and very strong opinions about how things should be done!

Sunday might be a day of rest for some… but the pet sitting crew is still on duty 🐾
Today’s visits included some very cute cats for fuss, feeds and company, plus two dogs with VERY different opinions on what makes the perfect walk 🤣

One: “LET’S GO! Adventure! Speed! Sniffs! Excitement!”

The other: “I would personally like to stop and inspect this leaf for 10 minutes.”
That’s the joy of one-to-one walks and visits — every pet gets the care, pace and attention that suits them best ❤️
