During a recent grooming appointment, a small lump was discovered hidden on Zeus' tail.

We advised the owners to have it checked by their vet and following a biopsy, it was found to be a pre-cancerous growth 😕

🙏Thankfully, it was caught early, removed successfully and Zeus is now doing great 💛

As groomers, we are often able to spot changes that might otherwise go unnoticed because we see every part of your pet's body during a grooming appointment ✅️

ℹ️ While groomers are not veterinarians & cannot diagnose medical conditions, we often spot changes such as lumps, bumps, skin irritations, unusual odours or other concerns & can recommend that you seek veterinary advice ⛑️

🧐 Early detection can make all the difference 💯

💙 This boy never gives a single ounce of bother 🙏

💭 Sometimes us groomers get so worked up with the hard grooms that we don't take a minute to appreciate the easier ones.

📸 Jeff comes every 10 weeks for a short cut ✂️ He takes everything in his stride and even sits for a lovely photo at the end!

❓️ Do you own a Pomeranian, German Sheppard, Golden Retriever, Husky or Collie, to name a few ..

💡These Double Coat breeds have 2 layers of fur that require regular grooming to remove loose undercoat and reduce shedding ✅️

🪮 Regular brushing at home as well as 6-8 weekly trips to your groomer will help keep these coats in tip top shape 👌

👀 MATTED DOGS 🐩

➡️ If your pet arrives matted (not one or two tats but absolutely pelted) then please dont be shocked, surprised or upset when we explain they need a FULL SHAVE OFF‼️

🪄 It simply isnt realistic for a groomer to brush out weeks (or months) of matting during 1 grooming appointment 😬

Dematting is a painful process & we wont inflict prolonged, unnecessary suffering 😟

What we can do ✔️

✂️ Carefully remove isolated tats / mats if most of the remaining coat is in good condition.

🏡 Help owners understand how to maintain coats between appointments & what tools are best to use 🪮

ℹ️ Work with you to choose a length that is practical for your dogs lifestyle & manageable for you 🐕

A shaved dog is a fresh start and often the kindest option. Your pet’s comfort will always come first. 🐾💕
