Dog lovers, wagging tails and plenty of four-legged personalities are set to take over Coleraine this summer as Coleraine Connect hosts the Big Bark Dog Show on Saturday, 18th July 2026.
Taking place in the Event Space at The Diamond, the free family event promises an afternoon filled with adorable pups, talented pooches, friendly competition and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Registration opens from 12 noon beside Coleraine Town Hall, before judging gets underway at 1pm. Entry is completely free, but spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so dog owners are encouraged to arrive early with their furry friends.
Hosted by the ever-popular Willie Gregg, this year's event is supported by Wolfepack Dog Walking, Alpha One Doggie Daycare and Let Loose Agility Park.
Whether you're hoping your four-legged companion takes home a prize or simply fancy an afternoon surrounded by happy hounds, there will be plenty to enjoy. Live music from DJ Triggs and Jamie Sloan will keep the atmosphere buzzing, while younger visitors can enjoy face painting, balloon modelling and special appearances from Bluey and Marshall from Paw Patrol.
The canine competitors will be battling it out across ten fun categories, including Best Puppy (3–12 months), Golden Oldie (8 years and over), Best Trick and Best Junior Handler (13 years and under). Expect plenty of wagging tails, impressive tricks, puppy eyes and perhaps a few cheeky moments along the way.

Every dog really does have its day, with the top three in each category receiving a rosette, a certificate, and a prize. First-place winners will also take home prizes generously donated by local businesses.
Coleraine Connect has thanked the many local businesses that have already supported the event through prize donations, helping make the Big Bark Dog Show an even bigger celebration for competitors, their owners and everyone coming along to cheer them on.
With free admission, live entertainment, children's activities, community spirit and plenty of four-legged stars stealing the spotlight, the Big Bark Dog Show promises to be a fantastic summer day out in the heart of Coleraine.
