Poorly mum, happy dogs. I may be running on Lemsip and willpower but there was no way Lucy and Margo were having a boring day especially as I didn’t get them out yesterday. They swam, they ran, well, Margo swam and ran, Lucy paddled and sauntered! they lived their best lives whilst I sat on a bench and watched like a proud, sneezing mess. 😂🐾”

🐾 Boys will be boys.

Frank the Labrador met Dennis the German Shepherd today. One minute (if that) of circling, sniffing and side-eyeing each other like two blokes deciding whether to shake hands or square up 🤣🤣 Then some invisible decision was made with tails wagging and being best mates 🐶🐶

Boys. Every single time! Give them space to work it out & they do (whilst watching carefully in case of a need to step in but, as if with these two!) 💙💙

Sad news today that Rupert has passed away at the grand old age of 15. 🐾

I had the privilege of home boarding Rupert with his gorgeous brother Dudley many times over the years, and he was just the loveliest soul, the kind of dog who made himself completely at home and somehow made you feel lucky he was there. Fifteen years is a life well lived. I hope his family know how much joy he brought to everyone lucky enough to spend time with him.

Run free, Rupert, go find Dudley 🌈 So very sorry

Happy 13th birthday to my Lucy! ❤️❤️

13 years ago this beautiful soul came into the world and changed everything for me. Lucy’s been with me through the big moves, the hard times and the fresh starts. She’s also the reason All Paws exists as she made me realise I wanted walks for the doggos that actually meant something. Happy birthday to the dog who started it all. Still going strong, still absolutely full of herself and loving life, albeit at a slower pace 🐾❤️ I could not love this dog more and I cherish the days we have together more than ever now 🥹

Did you know 18’ at 7am feels completely different to 30’ at midday? Today’s walks happened. Early start, shaded woodland, river access, cool water to splash in. Done and home before the real heat arrived. Hot weather dog walking isn’t about being reckless, it’s about being prepared. Knowing your routes. Knowing your timings. Knowing the dogs in your care. Nobody responsible is walking dogs at midday in a heatwave and that’s not what we do! A shaded wood with a river running through it isn’t dangerous, it’s actually a lovely morning. The risk is midday sun on the pavement, not dawn in the trees lol Dogs still need (love) to move, sniff, explore and socialise. I know ‘a missed walk won’t kill them but a heatwave could’ argument but sometimes the answer isn’t to cancel, it’s just an earlier alarm. ⏰
Ten years. Still walking. Still learning with every dog I work with ❤️

We left Lucy in her cool spot and went for a dip with Margo & Kingsley. Before it was too warm obviously (don’t need anyone coming at me 🤦‍♀️) a home visit for Tosca and that’s my Bank Holiday Monday done & dusted by 10am 🥰
