☀️🐾 No garden? No problem! With the temperature reaching 33°C yesterday, Tilly enjoyed a comfy buggy ride to keep her paws safe from the hot pavement🔥We found a shaded patch of grass for a quick toilet break, then she happily rode back home! 🌿🐶

Tip: If it’s too hot to walk, carry your pup or use a dog buggy for short toilet trips — and always check the ground temperature first! 🐾☀️

☀️🐾 TOP TIPS TO HELP YOUR DOG IN THE HEAT 🐾☀️

With the warmer weather here, it’s important to help our furry friends stay cool, comfortable and safe. 🐶💛

Make sure they have plenty of fresh water, access to shade and avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day. Always check the pavement before heading out — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws! 🐾🔥

Keep an eye out for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, drooling, restlessness, weakness or vomiting. If you’re ever concerned, cool them down gradually and contact your vet. 🩺

🌳🐾 Daycare Adventures with Pablo&Cooper!🐾🌳

What a brilliant day spent at the park with these two handsome sausage dogs! 💙 Pablo & Cooper had the best time exploring, sniffing every corner, making new discoveries, and enjoying plenty of playtime together.

After lots of fun, fresh air, and wagging tails, they’re heading home as two very happy (and very sleepy!) boys. 🐶💤

⚠️HEAT WARNING FROM PUPGETAWAY🐾

With temperatures soaring, please take extra care of your dogs during this hot weather.

❌ No walks during the hottest parts of the day
❌ Never leave your dog in a car – even for a few minutes
❌ Avoid hot pavements that can burn paws
❌ Don’t over-exercise your dog

✅ Ensure fresh water is always available
✅ Provide plenty of shade and cool places to rest
✅ Use cooling mats, paddling pools, or damp towels where appropriate
✅ Walk only in the early morning or late evening if necessary

Heatstroke can happen very quickly and can be life-threatening. If your dog is panting excessively, drooling, lethargic, vomiting, or appears distressed, seek veterinary advice immediately.

The safest place for most dogs during extreme heat is indoors, staying cool and comfortable.

Please put your dog’s safety first this week. ❤️🐶

With temperatures reaching 30°C today, please think twice before walking your dogs.

🌡️ Hot pavements can burn paws in seconds.
🥵 Dogs can overheat very quickly, even on shorter walks.
💧 Ensure they have access to plenty of fresh water and shady areas throughout the day.

Instead of walks, try:
🐾 Indoor enrichment games
🐾 Snuffle mats and puzzle toys
🐾 Frozen treats
🐾 Gentle play in the garden during cooler parts of the day

If the ground is too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.
