💙 PASSION

Being a Veterinary Nurse is more than just cuddling animals, it's a career, it's a profession and a title to be proud of. All our nurses here at Mayne have a passion for their job driven by empathy, patience, resilience and an unwavering love of animals. Every wagging tail, gentle purr and success story is a reminder of why what we do matters.

Animals may not understand the care they are receiving, they may sometimes tell us this in no uncertain terms. But we do know that they do feel and understand the kindness, calmness and patience that a veterinary nurse can offer during a worrisome visit.

Passion for our job turns clinical care into compassionate care - and that makes a whole world of difference for both our patients and the people who love them.

💙EMPATHY

Empathy is at the heart of veterinary nursing.

Animals cannot tell us how they feel, we have to rely on patience, observations and compassion to understand their needs. A calm voice, gentle handling and emotional awareness makes a huge difference to your pets experience at the vets. Empathy towards our patients allows them to feel safer and more comfortable.

Empathy for pet owners is equally as important. Any visit to the vet can be an emotional one, especially when you're beloved fur baby is unwell. Veterinary nurses help to provide reassurance and emotional support during some of the most challenging moments a family may face. Their kindness and understanding allows owners to feel heard, supported and care for.
