This year marks 10 years since RAW4SURE made the move from a small home-based business into the shop 💚

And obviously, we couldn't let that pass without celebrating!

I can't quite believe I'm saying this, but this year marks 10 years since RAW4SURE made the move from a small home-based business into the shop. 💚

So we're going to celebrate properly...

I've been quietly working away behind the scenes and we've got lots planned for the week, including special offers, giveaways, a raffle, goodies for the dogs, the launch of our brand-new loyalty scheme and a few other surprises along the way. 👀

Ten years in the shop feels like a pretty big milestone, and I wouldn't still be here without all of you who have shopped with me, recommended me, supported me and brought your dogs through the door over the years. 💚

It’s currently hotter inside than outside and uncomfortable enough for us humans, let alone the dogs! 🥵

Early closing helps protect the freezers and means I can get home to check on my own animals too. 💚

🍇 Blackberry season is here! 🐾

If you're out enjoying a walk with your dog, keep an eye out for wild blackberries. They're starting to ripen now, making it the perfect time to pick a few and pop them in the freezer for later.

Blackberries are a fantastic natural treat for dogs and are packed with goodness, including:

🐾 Antioxidants to help protect healthy cells
🐾 Vitamin C to support the immune system
🐾 Vitamin K for healthy bones
🐾 Fibre to aid digestion
🐾 Manganese to support metabolism and overall health

Once frozen, they make a refreshing summer treat. You can offer a couple straight from the freezer, add them to a LickiMat, mix them into kefir or natural yoghurt (if your dog can have dairy), or mash them into their food.

Just remember:

🌿 Pick from clean areas, away from busy roads and places that may have been sprayed with chemicals.
🐶 Feed in moderation, as too many berries can upset sensitive tummies.

Nature's own little superfood, and best of all... they're free! 🖤

☀️ Heatwave update ☀️

It's currently 34°C in the shop and, with it being so quiet today, I'm going to be closing a little earlier at 4pm.

I stayed open yesterday and ended up feeling quite unwell from the heat, so I'm going to be sensible today and head off a bit earlier.

It also gives me a chance to check on the sheep and horses before heading home to make sure Delilah and the pigeons are coping with the heat too. 🐑🐴🐦🐶

With this weather, opening hours may change at short notice, so it's always worth checking Facebook before you set off, or just drop me a message if you're unsure. Stay cool and keep your dogs hydrated! 🐾

This year, RAW4SURE is celebrating 10 wonderful years, and we'd love to make it all about the dogs who have been part of our journey.
