Being organised isn't one of my fortes and to me, Christmas is ages away, but for us to bring a little sparkle to those we support, we have to start thinking about Christmas now. So I thought I'd share.........
✨️A Message I’ll Never Forget ✨
Just after Christmas last year, I received a message from a pet owner we’d supported - and it’s one I’ll never, ever forget. It was a simple “thank you,” but it brought tears to my eyes.
We all know about the cost of living crisis, moan about how things are more expensive and less in a packet, but unless you’re really living through it, it’s hard to truly grasp how deeply it affects the people around us.
This family had collected their pet support before Christmas. Thanks to YOUR generosity, we’d included a few treats and toys for their two dogs. What they told me when I next spoke with them, stopped me in my tracks.
They’d wrapped those toys up and placed them under the tree. On Christmas morning, it wasn’t the dogs who tore open the wrapping paper - it was their little human brother and sister.
After months of hardship and worry, there had been no money left for gifts. But those small presents, meant for the dogs, gave two children something to unwrap, and a moment of magic to share.
When the dogs realised what was happening, the room filled with barking, laughter, wagging tails and joy. For a few precious moments, the whole family forgot their struggles and simply played together.
And that last word, TOGETHER, is exactly why we do what we do.
Because pets are family. In the darkest times, they bring light, love, comfort, and a reason to smile, without even realising it.
No one should ever have to face the heartbreak of giving up part of their family because of money.
Please, if you can, continue to help us make life a little easier for those who are struggling. You might never meet them, but your kindness could turn another silent, heavy Christmas morning into a room filled with laughter, love, and wagging tails.
Who would have thought that something as small as a dog toy could make such a difference, turning sadness into joy, and loneliness into togetherness.

We're trying to do this again this year for every pet.
ANY toy or treat for ANY pet would be greatly appreciated or a donation/gift card from any pet retailer or a purchase from our Amazon wishlist would be much appreciated - you can play Santa 🎅 🧑🎄 to so many 🐰🐱🐹🐶🐭.
Our 5p Challenge finishes at the end of the month and we're hoping that this will give us a boosted start to our Christmas toy shop but you can never have too many toys!!
Help us, help ALL have a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you
