IF THIS DOG CAN - ANY DOG CAN

🐕10 years of pulling on walks to be with siblings and ignoring the owners

➡️ Now by himself something needed to change

😫 He was pulling like a train everyday and the owner was literally being taken for walks

✅ Two months in. Pulling has reduced and other family members can walk him

🐕 All on a harness - due to their hardwork and dedication

WATCH THE GREAT CHOICES BY THE HUMAN AND DOG

🐕 when an extremely anxious dog chooses to interact with you for the first time, it is amazing

✅ this only happens when humans give the dog time, choices and space and start to build trust again , after a traumatic past

💙this was the first time the dog chose to return to the human for a bum scratch. It might seem like a minor thing, but for this family, it is a huge step.

ONE QUESTION YOU SHOULD ASK BEFORE LETTING YOUR DOG PLAY

🐕” Can you easily call your dog away?”

“Are they friendly” is common sense and reading the body language of both dogs is imperative,

‼️but if you can’t call your dog back to break up play, that could be a big issue and see an escalation in unwanted behaviour

HOW TO HELP YOUR YOUNG PUPPY

‼️however much obedience training you do, will not make up for lack of habituation and socialisation….

🐾 Most of this is common sense, but so many people wait too long before trying to habituate their puppy to the world.

🐕I had a lovely example recently where a client before their puppy was 14 weeks had taken them to London , on a train, to their office. Amazing!

⛔️Obviously if your puppy is anxious or nervous , then don’t force them. You need to understand your puppies emotions and go at their pace if they are struggling
