🐾 Chester's few days with us last week

Chester came back to stay with us for a couple of days, and this time he settled in SOOO well! 🥹 It's lovely seeing him feel more and more at home each time he visits.

We had lots of different walks through woodland and fields, a little coffee stop (with a pup cup, of course! ☕), enrichment activities and lots and lots of cuddles.

Chester even took it upon himself to supervise the girls' bath and bedtime, making sure they were all snuggled in and had plenty of kisses before he finally got us all to himself! 😂❤️

Over the weekend, I popped over to visit two very cute guinea pigs while their owners went out to enjoy a wedding.

Tommie and Mort had their dinner, fresh hay topped up and of course, a little fuss ❤️

Alongside our home boarding and daycare, I also offer local pet drop-in visits for dogs, cats and small furries. Whether it's feeding, refreshing food and water, cleaning out cages, letting the dogs out for a wee, a walk or a little playtime, I can pop in and get them sorted while you're out or away.

Perfect for those times when you have a busy weekend, an evening out or a holiday planned and need a helping hand with your pets at home.

🐾 Minnie's special feeding routine ❤️

Minnie has her very own way of enjoying dinner! Rather than eating straight from her bowl, she likes to bring each individual piece of kibble over to you, pop it on your lap or right beside you, and then slowly eat it one piece at a time. 🥹

On Wednesday evening, Molly got home from dance class and Minnie immediately resumed her dinner routine, carefully placing little pieces of food onto her lap. Molly was absolutely delighted, not only because she got some lovely Minnie cuddles, but because bedtime was successfully delayed while Minnie patiently worked her way through dinner! 🤣❤️

“ There aren’t many people I trust to take care of my dog, Gaston, due to his many health needs. Given Laura’s experience of having her own dog, I did not have any concerns. I was so thankful to Laura, Luke and their girls for taking care of him across a few days for us.

Laura kept me regularly updated with pictures of how he was getting on, and I know he enjoyed lots of fuss and attention!

The only challenge? Brushing up on my French! 😂

Winton recently came over from France with his owner and therefore only understands his commands in French. I had to learn that assis means sit and patte means paw. I was so surprised when he actually sat down… my French accent must not be that bad after all! 🤣

Unsurprisingly, the word treat needed absolutely no translation! 🐶

🐾 Chester’s weekend with us 🐾

Chester arrived with us looking a little worried and wondering where on earth his humans had disappeared to. We kept things nice and calm, gave him time to have a sniff around and decompress and within about an hour he’d decided we weren’t so bad after all. 😂

Before long, he was coming over to us for cuddles, comfort and a bit of reassurance and his confidence just kept growing from there. ❤️

We had some lovely walks with Chester, plenty of sniffing and exploring, playing and lots of cuddles in between.

But Chester’s real achievement of the weekend came at bedtime…

Luke was kicked out of his own bed and Chester promptly claimed his place, nestled under the blanket next to me for the night. 😂

Chester 1 – Luke 0. 🏆🐶

Safe to say this little sausage completely won us over. We loved having you, Chester and we’re already looking forward to seeing you again in a couple of weeks! ❤️
