Today's Wee Visitors at Angels Wae Paws Grooming

Well, today didn't quite start as planned, unfortunately I had a no-show first thing this morning. 😔 It's always disappointing when this happens, especially when that appointment could have been offered to another wee dog waiting for a pamper.
But the day got better with my two lovely wee visitors!

Finn
This gorgeous boy came in for his full groom, although I'm pretty sure Finn thinks he's booked himself into a sleeping spa! 🤣💤 From the minute he gets into the bath until the minute he leaves, all he wants to do is snooze! 😂 He's just so relaxed and content throughout his pamper. What a wee sweetheart!

Stevie
My lovely wee Stevie came in for a wee haircut today, and I'm so proud of how far this boy is coming! 🥹
Every visit he's building more confidence and allowing me to do that wee bit more. Today we managed to tackle some of those trickier areas, including his wee face!
For some dogs, these things might seem small, but for Stevie they're HUGE achievements!
There's absolutely no rush. We work at his pace, build that trust and celebrate every little victory.

At Angels Wae Paws Grooming, it's never about how quickly we can finish a groom. It's about how comfortable and safe each wee dog feels.

Today's Gorgeous Grooms at Angels Wae Paws Grooming

Another lovely day spent with my wee furry friends, each with their own personalities and needs.

Marley
This gorgeous boy came in for his full groom today, and as always, he was so excited to see me! The first thing I get is a big cuddle and kiss before we even think about grooming! Marley absolutely loves his pamper sessions, and I just adore all the love and affection he gives me. Such a wee sweetheart!

Yasmine
Beautiful Yasmine came in for a wee groom today. This little lady finds grooming very stressful, so we took everything slowly and worked at her pace, giving her plenty of reassurance and breaks when needed.
For Yasmine, it's not about how much we get done, but about helping her feel safe, comfortable and understood. Every little step matters, and I'm so proud of her for trying.

Lola
Gorgeous Lola came in for her full groom, and this girl certainly knows how to enjoy a pamper! She finds the whole experience so relaxing that all she wants to do is lie down and chill out! If Lola had her way, I think she'd turn every groom into a wee spa day!

Three beautiful dogs, three different personalities, and three different grooming experiences.

This is exactly why I believe every dog deserves an individual approach. Some love every minute, some need extra reassurance, and some would rather have a wee snooze!

Today's Gorgeous Wee Visitors at Angels Wae Paws Grooming

What a lovely day spent with three of my wee friends, all with their own personalities and grooming journeys!

Beautiful Amber

Amber came in for her full groom today. This gorgeous girl is so timid, and seeing how far she has come absolutely melts my heart.
After successfully completing her desensitisation sessions, Amber has now progressed onto full grooms. And would you believe it, this wee girl now finds her pamper sessions so relaxing that she actually falls asleep!
This is exactly why I believe in taking things slowly, building trust and allowing each dog to go at their own pace. I'm so proud of you, Amber!

Handsome Ralph

Well, what can I say about this wee character!
Ralph came in for his full groom and, as always, brought his cheeky personality along with him!
This boy absolutely LOVES his kisses and cuddles, but he also likes to have his crazy wee moments jumping about like a madman!
Never a dull moment with you, Ralph! You're such a wee sweetheart.

Gorgeous Clyde

Clyde came in today for another desensitisation session. We managed to get his bath done and even had a wee go at working towards a full groom. 🛁
There are still some areas Clyde finds tricky, but that's absolutely okay.
Desensitisation isn't about rushing to get everything done. It's about helping Clyde feel safe, comfortable and confident, one wee step at a time.
Every bit of progress matters, no matter how small. I'm proud of you, Clyde, and we'll keep working together at your pace.

Chester
My handsome wee Chester came in today for a lovely bath and freshen-up before heading off on his holidays later!
This boy is settling into grooming so, so well, and I'm incredibly proud of how far he's come. Watching his confidence and trust grow with every visit is just the best feeling. Enjoy your holidays, gorgeous boy!

Bindy
A huge warm welcome to the beautiful Bindy, who joined the Angels Wae Paws family today for her very first full groom with me!
And what an absolute superstar she was! She did amazingly well, and it was such a pleasure getting to know this gorgeous wee girl. Lots of praise and cuddles for being so wonderful!

This is my boy Ollie getting his laser therapy with Debbie. I have started to notice a difference in Ollie since coming here

✨ Class IV Laser Therapy at Sidewood ✨

It's been a busy few weeks with our Class IV Laser Therapy — and it's been fantastic to see so many dogs coming through the door to benefit from this new service. 🐾 ❤️ Here, we have the gorgeous Ollie enjoying his laser treatment 💖 🥰

For anyone who may have missed our earlier introduction to laser therapy, Class IV laser uses photobiomodulation to deliver therapeutic light energy to targeted tissues, supporting the body's natural healing and recovery processes.

Depending on the individual dog and the reason for treatment, laser therapy may help to:

🐾 Reduce pain and discomfort
🐾 Support the management of inflammation
🐾 Promote circulation and tissue repair
🐾 Support recovery following injury or surgery
🐾 Ease muscle and soft-tissue tension
🐾 Support mobility and comfort
🐾 Complement other rehabilitation therapies such as Clinical Massage and Hydrotherapy

One of the things I particularly like about laser therapy is that it can be incorporated into an individualised rehabilitation or wellbeing plan, rather than being a one-size-fits-all treatment.

And for many dogs, it's a wonderfully calm experience — no sedation and no need for restraint. They can simply relax while the treatment is carried out.

BACK TO WORK & BACK WITH MY WEE FRIENDS!

Oh, how lovely it was to be back in my wee grooming hut today!

As much as I enjoyed my time off, I really did miss all my wee furry friends. There's nothing quite like being greeted with wagging tails, wee kisses and lots of cuddles.
And what a lovely bunch of wee souls I had to welcome me back!

Dexter
This gorgeous boy came in for his wash, deshed and luxurious mud bath! Dexter absolutely loves being pampered and having all the attention on him. He's such an affectionate wee soul and never says no to a cuddle. I think he would happily spend his whole appointment getting cuddles if he could!

Fudge
This wee sweetheart came in for his wash and deshed. Nail trims are still something Fudge finds really scary, and that's absolutely okay.
We will continue working at his pace, building his confidence and helping him understand that there's nothing to fear. There's no rush and no pressure here. His emotional wellbeing will always come first.

Evie
Oh, this wee girl made me SO incredibly proud today!
Evie came in for her supported groom. Normally, her daddy stays beside her, offering reassurance and feeding her some yummy treats to help her feel safe.
But today was a HUGE milestone!
Her daddy was able to leave, and Evie allowed me to complete her full groom without him being there!
This is such a massive achievement for her, and I honestly couldn't be prouder.
It's moments like these that remind me exactly why I love supported grooming so much. Building trust, creating positive experiences and allowing each dog to progress in their own time really does make such a difference.
Well done, beautiful girl!

Fudge
And then there's this gorgeous, affectionate boy who came in for his full groom!
Honestly, he just melts my heart!
Fudge has his very own way of telling me when it's time for a wee cuddle. He simply gives me his paw, and that's my signal to put everything down because it's officially cuddle and kiss time!
And of course, everything stops for those precious wee moments. How could I possibly say no?

Days like today remind me why I absolutely love what I do.
It's never just about a bath, a haircut or a tidy-up.
It's about the relationships, the trust, the little breakthroughs, the cuddles and making every dog feel safe, loved and understood.
Some days we celebrate a full groom, other days we celebrate a tiny step forward. Both are equally important.
