I'm going to this

Sounds really good 👍

Human ONLY reactivity workshop 😀

See you there 👍 😉

🚨🐾 LAST CHANCE TO BOOK! 🐾🚨

Ever wondered why your dog suddenly forgets you exist the second they spot another dog? 😂 Or why they go from zero to FULL DRAMA in 0.2 seconds? 🤦‍♀️🐶

Let's talk about REACTIVITY! 💜

This Saturday, Carrie’s Canines, Wise K9 & Eager Beaver Dog Training are teaming up for our RESHAPING REACTIVITY WORKSHOP! 🐾

💜 Reactivity doesn't automatically mean aggression.
🎯 Explore why dogs react and what's happening underneath the behaviour.
🎮 Discover how positive, reward-based, games-based training can help build confidence, focus and better choices.

Because sometimes we need to stop asking, “WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?!” and start asking, “WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL ME?” 😂🐾

📅 THIS SATURDAY — 17th OCTOBER
⏰ 1pm–3pm
📍 The Moorlands, Cleckheaton, BD19 3SU
💷 £20 per person

🚫 HUMAN-ONLY WORKSHOP — NO DOGS!

And before you ask… YES, I'M BRINGING CAKE! 🍰🤣

Because learning about dogs is important, but let's be honest… cake makes everything better! 💜😂

🤔 🤔

15/10/2026

It's that time of year where the weather can't make up its mind.

Cold mornings and evenings followed by mild days can cause havoc with us, never mind our dogs.

• Allergies and Respiratory Irritation:

Warm days can kick up pollen, mold, and dust, triggering seasonal allergies (itchy skin, watery eyes, sneezing), while cold or damp air can irritate sensitive airways.

Signs Your Dog Is Struggling with Weather Changes

• Stiff, awkward movements or trouble getting up after resting
• Sudden lethargy, unusual sleepiness, or lack of interest in walks
• Shivering, curling tightly, or seeking constant warmth on chilly mornings
• Heavy panting, restlessness, or clinginess when temperatures or storms shift

As much as our furry friends love their walks, sometimes the best thing we can do for them is let them have a little rest at home. ❤️

If your dog is feeling under the weather, please keep them at home rather than sending them out for their usual walk. 🏡🐶

Just like us, dogs need time to rest and recover when they're not feeling their best.
Walking when they're poorly can put extra strain on their bodies, and if they're potentially contagious, we also need to think about protecting their four-legged friends. 🐾

Please always let me know if your dog is showing any signs of illness, even if they seem absolutely fine in themselves otherwise.

No walk is worth compromising your dog's health or the health of their friends. ❤️

Thank you for helping me keep all our lovely pups safe, happy and healthy! 🐶💕

Firework season is upon us 😞

Worth a read, whether your dog is fine with them or not, don't presume they will be fine this year, just because they were last year 🐾

Preparing for fireworks If your dog is okay with fireworks, don’t take this for granted! It doesn’t matter if they’re a puppy, adult or a senior dog. Sound sens

🎃 SPOOKY PAWS – HALLOWEEN CONFIDENCE CLASS 🎃

Carrie's Canines and Leaps & Bownes have got a fun Halloween-themed class planned.

This session is all about confidence, enrichment and helping our dogs feel more comfortable when faced with new things — especially with Halloween and firework season coming up plus winter weather which will likely include some Thunder moments.⛈️

Confidence is an important part of a dog’s everyday life. The more confident they feel, the better they can cope with new environments, strange noises, distractions and situations they haven’t experienced before.

But confidence isn’t about throwing dogs in at the deep end or making them face something scary. We want them to explore, investigate and learn at their own pace, with plenty of choice and positive experiences along the way.

We’ll have a mixture of fun activities, including:
👃 Sniff & Seek
🎃 Trick or Treat Challenges
🧠 Confidence-building activities
🔊 Sound Discovery
👀 Focus & Distraction Games

We’ll also share some practical tips for preparing your dog for fireworks at home.

📅 Sunday 25th October
⏰ 10am–11am
📍 Crossley Farm, 120 Crossley Lane, Mirfield, WF14 0NX
💷 £20 per dog
🐶 For dogs who are comfortable working around other dogs in a group setting.

No scaring dogs, no forcing them into situations they’re uncomfortable with — just a fun session where they can sniff, explore, learn and build confidence at their own pace.

Want to join us? Message me to book your place. 🐾
