Travelling abroad with your pet? We’re here to help! 🐾✈️

Our Animal Health Certificate appointments are available for existing clients only.

To travel, your pet must be microchipped and have a valid rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before departure. Your Animal Health Certificate must be issued within 10 days of travel, so be sure to book your appointment in plenty of time. Don’t forget that dogs will also need a tapeworm treatment from a vet in the country you’re visiting before returning home. Contact us early to make sure your furry friend is ready for their adventure!

🌿 Grass seed season is here! 🐶🌾

Grass seeds may look harmless, but they can cause serious problems for dogs during the warmer months. These tiny, sharp seeds can become lodged in your dog’s paws, ears, eyes, nose or even under the skin, leading to pain, infection and, if left untreated, more serious complications.

After every walk, especially through long grass, take a few minutes to check your dog’s paws, ears and coat for any grass seeds. If your dog is suddenly limping, shaking their head, licking a paw excessively, or has swelling or redness, it’s important to seek veterinary advice as soon as possible.

Early treatment can make all the difference. If you’re concerned your dog may have picked up a grass seed, please contact our practice—we’re here to help.

🐾 Have you checked your dog’s paws after today’s walk?🌾

🐾 Ticks are out in force this year! 🌿

We’re seeing more ticks than usual, making it more important than ever to protect your pets. Ticks can carry serious diseases, and it only takes one bite to put your dog or cat at risk. After every walk, adventure, or time in the garden, check your pet carefully—especially around the ears, neck, armpits, between the toes, and under the collar. Year-round tick prevention is the best way to keep your furry family members safe. If you’re unsure which prevention is right for your pet or you’ve found a tick, we’re here to help. 🐶🐱💚

📞 Contact our team to discuss the best tick prevention for your pet.
