Pepper the Irish Doodle came in for her Full BOOP 🧡

Mum had warned me that she can be a little nervous, so we made sure there was extra time in the appointment to let Pepper take things at her own pace.

Feet? Absolutely not Pepper’s favourite thing. 😂🐾 But with a bit of patience, reassurance and working with her rather than against her… we got there.

Mum wanted to keep that gorgeous fluffy look, so I used a comb attachment rather than taking her super short - keeping those lovely doodle locks long, soft and FLOOFY. ✨

Every dog is different. Sometimes a good groom isn’t about getting things done as quickly as possible - it’s about giving them the time they need to feel safe and comfortable.

And Pepper? Very much still a fluffy girl. 🥹🧡

Molly the Cockapoo popped in for a FULL BOOP + Summer Glow-Up… and just LOOK at her. 😍

We went shorter through the body to keep things fresh and manageable, with beautifully scissored legs to keep that soft, fluffy teddy bear look. 🧸✂️

The British sunshine might be playing hard to get lately… but Molly is summer ready regardless. 😎☀️

After weeks of busy summer days, September can bring a big change in routine for our dogs too. 🎒🐾

A suddenly quieter house or longer periods alone can take some getting used to. Try to introduce the new routine gradually, starting with shorter periods apart and building up at a pace your dog is comfortable with.

Keeping walks, meals and rest times predictable can help, as can leaving them with a safe chew or enrichment activity to enjoy.

Look out for signs that they may be struggling, including pacing, barking, toileting indoors, destructive behaviour or being unable to settle. These behaviours aren’t your dog being naughty. They may be telling you that the change feels difficult.

A little preparation now can make the back-to-school transition much easier for everyone. 🧡

A groom might only last an hour and a half… but somehow, they become part of your life. 🧡

You get to know their little quirks.
The things they love.
The things they’re not so sure about.
How they like to be handled.
When they need a little break.
When they’re feeling brave.
And when they just need a cuddle.

And, apparently, you also find yourself wondering about them long after they’ve gone home. 😂

Did they enjoy their walk?
Has their paw settled down?
Did Mum manage to brush that tricky bit?
Are they still proudly showing off their fresh BOOP?

It’s one of my favourite things about doing this job.

They’re never just another dog on the table. They’re little personalities that I get to know, care about and look forward to seeing again.

Basically… once you’re part of the BOOP gang, I’m invested. 🐶🧡

SENSITIVE SOUL, VERY GOOD BOY 🧡

Theo the Cavalier King Charles is a sensitive little chap, so his groom is always tailored carefully around what works for him.

No clippers due to previous clipper rash, and only gentle, sensitive shampoo for his skin — but still every bit the darling throughout his BOOP.

Every dog is different, and their comfort always comes first. 🐾

The human behind BOOP - professional nose booper, breaker of tangles and firm believer that dogs come first.

For me, grooming is never just about creating a lovely finish. It’s about helping your dog feel safe, understood and cared for throughout their visit.

Some dogs bounce through the door ready for anything. Some need breaks, reassurance, cuddles and a little more time. I work with the dog in front of me, adapting each appointment around what they need.
