Insects are vital for the growth of young bearded dragons, however their requirement for them reduces when they mature to adulthood. A lot of bearded dragons love to eat insects as they make tasty treats with their protein and fat content! Over feeding of insects in adults is a common cause for obesity.

Ensure to gut load your insects for your reptile to ensure they get the most of their insect diet! Gut loading is where insects are offered whole foods and insect diets to support their growth and ensure that they provide a good source of nutrition for our reptiles. Calcium dusting can be done onto insects prior to feeding to support your lizards calcium intake - make sure they have a UV bulb so that they can metabolise the calcium!

We would love to see any pictures or videos of your bearded dragons enjoying their meals! Be sure to post them below or tag us in your stories! 🦎

Chinchillas are lovely pets and are very affectionate. They like to live in bonded pairs.

Chinchillas teeth continuously grow and so appropriate diet and dental management is very important, especially with their 20 year lifespan!
Their fur is very soft and to maintain their lovely coat, chinchillas will take a bath in dust to keep it clean!

We would love to see any pictures of your pet chinchillas! Post them below or tag us in your stories!
