Winback TECAR training done! 🥰 I’ve been practicing on Lloyd and me as well as the dogs Mia and Ralphie; so I’m all ready and super confident to start using it on pets in the clinic from tomorrow! I already have lots of pets lined up to start benefiting from it, so let me know if you are interested. I can tell you more about how it works when I see you…. If I’ve not already bored you to death with how excited I am about it. 🤣

It is an extra £15 add on treatment due to the cost and time involved so let me know if you wish to give it a go. I do have an offer of buy 4 sessions get the 5th session free (£60 for the 5 sessions).

I’m thinking of adding some extra colours to the bright red, cobalt blue and charcoal black colours I already have in stock. Which of these colours do you like? The green, red, pink or purple? Comment below.

🧬Just a little more information on how the new machine works. 🧬

When cells are injured or dysfunctional, normal biochemical processes and cellular electrical activity can become disrupted. This affects the cell’s ability to communicate, produce energy, and maintain normal function. This can cause pain, inflammation and compensatory muscle tension.

Cellular dysfunction → altered cellular environment → impaired metabolism & signalling → TECAR stimulation → improved tissue circulation + controlled thermal/electromagnetic effects → support for cellular metabolism and tissue repair.

Increased ion movement and molecular activity 🧬
The alternating radiofrequency field interacts with charged particles and molecules within tissue. This can influence ionic movement and membrane-associated processes.

Improved microcirculation 🩸
TECAR can increase local blood flow, particularly when a thermal response is produced. This may improve delivery of oxygen and nutrients and removal of metabolic waste.

Changes in tissue temperature 🔥
The thermal component can increase tissue temperature, producing vasodilation and changes in tissue metabolism. This is one of the better-established effects of therapeutic radiofrequency.

Influence on cellular signalling ⚡️
Changes in the cellular environment can affect signalling pathways involved in inflammation, metabolism and tissue repair. However, the exact mechanisms depend on the treatment parameters and tissue.

Support for tissue recovery ❤️‍🩹
Collectively, these effects may create a more favourable environment for cells to return toward normal metabolic activity and for tissue-repair processes to occur.

🐾 WINBACK TECAR THERAPY FOR PETS — THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TREATMENT 🐾

🐶 WHO MIGHT BENEFIT?
✔️ Osteoarthritis and age-related stiffness
✔️ Muscle tension
✔️ Fascia adhesions
✔️ Soft-tissue injuries
✔️ Post surgery e.g. cruciate ligament, spinal IVDD surgery
✔️ Limb weakness or wobbliness
✔️ Tendon or ligament damage
✔️ Reduced mobility
✔️ General musculoskeletal rehabilitation

💙 INTRODUCTORY OFFER
Buy 4 sessions + your 5th session FREE!
That’s 5 sessions for £60 — saving £15. TECAR can easily be incorporated into your normal physiotherapy or hydrotherapy session.

HOW DOES IN WORK?
The Winback machine enables me to deliver up to 4 different therapies, some even simultaneously.
• TECAR (Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive),
• Diathermy (heat generation),
• TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation),
• NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation).
📡 TECAR: uses alternating electrical fields to stimulate ionic motion inside the cells. This aids in:
• rebalancing injured cells,
• improving cellular metabolism,
• increasing the removal of waste products,
• enhancing healing, oxygen and nutrient uptake.

🔥 DIATHERMY: the option to add diathermy to the treatment, slightly increases tissue temperature. This increases circulation to further improve the latter effects. It also helps ease muscle tension, spasms and improves comfort.

⚡️ TENS: used to help reduce pain signals and relax tense muscle.

💪🏼 NMES: is used to contract muscles rhythmically to help increase muscle contractility, build muscle mass to prevent muscle loss.

I am very very very excited to announce that my financial director (aka husband) has finally given the green light to get something I have had on my wish list for a long time…The Winback TECAR Therapy machine. This is going to be a fantastic addition to the clinic to help significantly improve mobility, enhance healing and reduce pain. I can’t wait to tell you more info about it soon.

Everyone who comes knows that I’m a little bit obsessed with having clean water 🤣 It isn’t just my OCD, it is also such an important part of hydrotherapy to help keep you dogs (& me) safe.

Me & your dogs definitely get splashes of water in their mouth, eyes, nose and ears; so it is super important to keep the water clear of pathogens including E. coli, Salmonella, Camplobacter, Legionella, and Pseudomonas (which love growing in warm water). Clean clear water is a sign of healthy water 🥰

WET THEN VET!

The ‘Wet / Cool First, Transport Second’ advice is crucial, as prolonged elevated body temperature can lead to severe organ damage and even death. Heatstroke has a high mortality rate so immediate cooling significantly improves the chances of recovery.

If you believe your dog is experiencing heatstroke please follow the latest veterinary advice. The current best practice, as endorsed by the Royal Veterinary College, is to:

💙 STOP: Cease all activity and remove the dog from the hot environment. Start communication with your vet immediately so they can be prepped ready for your arrival. Have someone cool the car ready for transport while you cool your dog.

💙 WET & COOL: Any cool tap water will be a suitable temperature just make sure you run the hot water out of the hose first if you’re outside. SOAK your dog in water by pouring cool water all over their body. Having a fan blowing over them will also help dissipate the heat. If possible and safe to do so, submerge their body as much as possible; e.g. in the shallow edge of a lake/river, bath, paddling pool.

💙VET: Get to the Vets as quickly as possible.

💙Offer them only small amounts of cool water (if they want it). Gulping large amounts may cause bloat.
